The Cine Horizontes screenwriting residency in Marseille invites screenwriters, dialoguers, and directors from Spain and Spanish-speaking countries living in Europe to submit feature-length projects, either fiction or documentary. Projects must be original, unpublished, and free of producer commitments; adaptations must have rights acquisition proof.
The residency runs from September 26 to October 17, 2025, offering accommodation, a stipend of approximately €1,000, and up to €400 travel reimbursement. The winner will present their project at the Marseille Spanish Film Festival and participate in professional meetings.
Applicants must send their project in PDF format by email and post by June 14, 2025. Selection focuses on originality and narrative quality. Only one project per applicant is allowed. The winner must commit to residing in Marseille during the residency.

Starting from 2003, Open Doors has been championing filmmaking from regions where independent cinema is especially challenging, building bridges for collaboration across regions, countries and continents. Through Open Doors' public and professional programs, we aim to provide a space where talents find support in every step of their creative and professional journey and where discussion and reinvention of today’s cinema can happen among free voices.

Locarno Open Doors
Terra#LAB 2026 is an international film development laboratory that will take place in Pontevedra, Galicia, Spain, from December 8–11, 2026. The call for applications is open until June 30, 2026, and is aimed at filmmakers developing their first or second feature-length film.
The program accepts feature film projects in the writing, development, or pre-production stages. It welcomes a wide range of cinematic approaches, including fiction, documentary, animation, experimental works, essay films, and other feature-length formats. The call is international, allowing submissions from filmmakers worldwide.
Terra#LAB provides creative and professional mentoring designed to strengthen both the artistic and strategic dimensions of selected projects. The laboratory focuses on script development, project advancement, funding strategies, pre-production planning, and audience design. A minimum of seven projects will be selected, with particular attention given to women filmmakers and emerging directors, especially those under the age of 30. Selected participants receive support for travel and accommodation during the laboratory.

TERRA#LAB
Vanguardia: Incubadora de Proyectos Cinematográficos – Ícaro Industria 2026 es un laboratorio internacional de desarrollo cinematográfico organizado en Guatemala, enfocado en fortalecer proyectos audiovisuales en etapa temprana mediante capacitación, asesorías y herramientas para la búsqueda de financiación y coproducción. La convocatoria está dirigida a directores, guionistas y productores hispanohablantes de todo el mundo con proyectos de largometraje de ficción, documental o animación.
La convocatoria estará abierta del 19 de abril al 19 de mayo de 2026. Los proyectos seleccionados participarán en un programa de formación online del 6 de junio al 5 de julio de 2026, con clases y asesorías sobre desarrollo de proyectos, escritura de carpetas, presupuesto, financiación, pitch, herramientas de venta e inteligencia artificial aplicada al cine. El proceso finalizará con un pitch el 5 de julio de 2026, donde se seleccionará un proyecto para participar en el Encuentro Internacional de Coproducción de Ícaro Industria 2026, en noviembre en Ciudad de Guatemala.

VANGUARDIA INCUBADORA
La Residència de Guions es un laboratorio de desarrollo para largometrajes de ficción (incluyendo animación) y documental en catalán o castellano, con un fuerte vínculo cultural con Cataluña. Está abierta a guionistas de cualquier nacionalidad. La convocatoria 2025 recibió postulaciones del 30 de enero al 3 de marzo. Los proyectos seleccionados recibirán una beca de 12.600 € para dedicarse al desarrollo del guion entre septiembre de 2025 y mayo de 2026. Durante la residencia, los participantes trabajan con mentores expertos, reciben formación, fomentan el intercambio entre autores y establecen contactos con la industria catalana e internacional. No se cobra inscripción para postular. El objetivo es fortalecer la calidad y proyección internacional del cine catalán a través del apoyo al talento emergente.
