Sitges FanPitch – Catalunya Imaginària 2026 is an international pitching platform within the Sitges Film Festival (Spain), focused on the development of audiovisual projects in the fantasy, science fiction, and horror genres. The call opens on March 9, 2026, with a standard submission period until May 31, 2026, followed by an extended deadline until June 30, 2026 as the final cutoff date. Selected projects will be announced on September 1, 2026. The pitching event will take place in hybrid format on October 12–13, 2026 in Sitges, Catalonia.
The call is open internationally, allowing submissions from any country, provided projects are in development. It is aimed primarily at feature films and series, including documentary projects within the genre framework. The Catalunya Imaginària label ensures the inclusion of at least one Catalan-language project in the final selection. Accepted formats include feature-length projects and series in development, designed for international industry exposure, co-production, and financing opportunities. SITGES FANPITCH - SITGES
The 7th Ibero-American Screenwriting Residency is a 4‑week immersive program taking place in Cali, Colombia, from October 20 to November 14, 2025. It is aimed at Ibero-American screenwriters with at least a first draft of a fiction feature screenplay.
The residency includes narrative and rewriting labs, staging workshops, and project development sessions. Participants receive group and individual mentorship, plus access to a Production Meeting with producers and industry professionals.
Cali, a UNESCO Creative City, offers a vibrant environment for writing and networking. Over 50 writers from 9 countries have joined previous editions, with films later featured in international festivals.

Ibero-American Script Residency - Something in Common
The Central America and the Caribbean Cinematographic Project Development Workshop is an annual call aimed at supporting filmmakers, screenwriters, and producers from the region in the development of film projects, whether fiction, documentary, or hybrid. Organized by the Ibermedia Program, the workshop offers comprehensive advice in key areas such as script, direction, production, and distribution. Each year, up to 15 projects in advanced stages of development are selected, receiving mentorship from international experts and the opportunity to establish partnerships with other industry professionals. Participants also receive scholarships to cover the expenses of their participation. This initiative aims to enhance the visibility and feasibility of regional projects, fostering potential co-productions and connections with international investors and distributors.

Central America and the Caribbean Cinematographic Project Development Workshop
The workshop is dedicated to directors and scriptwriters with a project in an early stage of development – initial idea, synopsis, short treatment – for a short film of any kind (animation, documentary, experimental and fiction) from the following countries: Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Greece, Israel, Italy, Kosovo, Lebanon, Malta, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, Turkey.

ShorTS Development Pitching Training
IDFAcademy es un programa intensivo de cuatro días dentro del Festival Internacional de Cine Documental de Ámsterdam (IDFA), dirigido a directores y productores en su primera o segunda película documental de largometraje. Está diseñado para cineastas que ya han demostrado talento a nivel nacional y buscan internacionalizar su carrera. El programa ofrece charlas con reconocidos cineastas, mesas redondas, estudios de caso y eventos de networking que abordan las tendencias y retos del mercado documental global.
Los participantes deben completar un formulario con su biografía, filmografía, motivación y objetivos de aprendizaje. Es opcional incluir proyectos en curso o muestras audiovisuales. IDFAcademy no es un laboratorio tradicional de desarrollo de proyectos, sino un espacio formativo y de encuentro profesional.
La convocatoria está abierta hasta el 1 de agosto de 2025, y el programa se realizará del 13 al 16 de noviembre de 2025 en Ámsterdam. Se seleccionarán alrededor de 100 participantes de todo el mundo.
