Approaching Cinema
"Approaching the cinema" is a national film series that seeks to bring new audiences for cinematographic art in 6 cities in the northern area; Alto Hospicio, Antofagasta, Coquimbo, La Serena, Ovalle and Vicuña.
This initiative develops activities of commented exhibitions of cinema, which include discussions with analysis and appreciation together with the directors of the films, which are carried out in different spaces of cultural institutions.

Miradas Regionales is a network of 9 cultural organizations that exhibits and promotes regional cinema with local identity themes, thought from regions to regions. This network is articulated in 12 places in northern Chile (Arica, Iquique, Alto Hospicio, Calama, Antofagasta, Copiapó, Caldera, La Serena, Coquimbo, Vicuña, Ovalle and Salamanca), presenting for 6 months a cycle of audiovisual exhibitions for students and the general public, accompanied by cinema forums with the authors of these works.

This instance seeks to motivate and strengthen new audiences, in order to incorporate the habit of appreciating, knowing and understanding Chilean and Latin American cinema.
