The 5th Socio-environmental Festival "VIVIENDO CINE" is a space that promotes the environmental and social rights of our communities and native peoples, likewise seeks to sensitize, inform, dialogue and make natural diversity visible with a social and intercultural approach, promoting critical cinema that contributes to social transformation.

The Festival values cinema as a transmitting agent of culture and development, since it is a vehicle capable of moving, moving, motivating reflection and action, it considers the creativity of artists, as fundamental elements to understand the socio-cultural reality and the multiple environmental crises that we face nationally and globally.

The 5th Socio-environmental Festival "VIVIENDO CINE" is an international festival that was born in the city of Huancayo, in central Peru. This year our 5th edition will be held from June 20 to 26, and the call for films closes on March 20, 2021. Applications to all sections will be received until midnight, peruvian time.
The works must address a socio-environmental theme, that is, films based on environmental issues and / or social issues generated by an environmental problem.

The works will be evaluated by the curatorial committee of the festival, who will choose the films that will be part of the official selection.

An applicant can submit more than one work. Films in a language other than Spanish must have Spanish subtitles.

The festival comprises the following competitive sections:


• SHORT FILM

- They will be able to apply for short films of fiction and documentary genre. Animation can be in any genre.

- The works must have a minimum duration of 1 minute and a maximum of 20 minutes.

• MEDIOMETRATING

- They may apply for medium-length films of fiction and documentary genre. Animation can be in any genre.

- The works must have a minimum duration of 21 minutes and a maximum of 59 minutes.

• FEATURE FILM

- They will be able to apply for feature films of fiction and documentary genre. Animation can be in any genre.

- The works must have a minimum duration of 60 minutes and a maximum of 120 minutes.

INSCRIPTION

- The selected works will enter the competition and will be part of the festival's program, the organizing committee reserves the right to declare the award void in any category.

- The selected works will have to be sent in optimal quality by drive, wetransfer or other means of downloading.

- The authors of the selected works will authorize the use of images of their works for the purpose of disseminating the festival.

- The works will not be used for commercial purposes.
