El Festival de Cine Latino de Georgia es una organización sin fines de lucro 501 (c) 3 bajo la dirección de Latinos en Information Sciences and Technology Association Inc. (LISTA). Los latinos en Information Sciences and Technology Association Inc. (LISTA) están certificados 501 (c) (3) instituciones, organizaciones, eventos y corporaciones sin fines de lucro que brindan servicios de tecnología y enriquecimiento cultural. Estos servicios incluyen presentaciones, talleres, conferencias, festivales de cine y más.

El Georgia Latino Film Festival opera en Atlanta Ga y Norcross Ga. Ubicado a solo minutos de Stone Mountain. Norcross es una pequeña ciudad conocida por sus centros de arte, restaurantes y fácil acceso a las atracciones de la zona, senderos, restaurantes, tiendas y caminos pintorescos.

La Oficina de Cine y Televisión de Georgia, un componente del Departamento de Desarrollo Económico de Georgia, la Oficina del Alcalde de Atlanta en Cine y Entretenimiento y la Asociación de Producción de Georgia son patrocinadores anuales del evento y patrocinador del festival y sus actividades.

Objetivos del festival:
El objetivo de esta organización sin fines de lucro es llevar a cabo un festival de cine anual en el estado de Georgia que presenta películas producidas por latinos entre otras entradas nacionales e internacionales.

Misión

La misión del Georgia Latino Film Festival es crear conciencia sobre las películas y películas independientes como una forma de arte; proporcionar oportunidades educativas para estudiantes y cineastas de Georgia Latino; y crear oportunidades para que las comunidades de Georgia experimenten películas latinas de alta calidad.

Visión

Para asegurarnos de que nuestras historias se cuenten en Hollywood y en todo el mundo y que nuestra comunidad tenga un lugar en Georgia donde los directores y artistas latinos ejecutivos de cine a la vanguardia de la industria cinematográfica y de la animación latina puedan reunirse para hablar sobre el futuro de nuestra industria y crear un vehículo para desarrollar la próxima generación de cineastas latinos de Georgia.

The Event offers Laurels and Awards to all winning Short and Long Form Movies, director, Actor, Actress, web-series and best student film.



Georgia Latino Film Festival Criteria

Entries must be written, directed, produced and/or principally acted by Latinos.
More than one entry can be submitted. However each entry must be accompanied by separate submission forms, fee and materials.
Year of completion must be 2016 or later.

All Spanish or Caribbean Language films must have English subtitles.

You are encouraged to submit prior to the deadline for a reduced fee.

Online submissions must include a signed copy of the entry form, fee, publicity photo and 250 word synopsis of the film.

Signing the entry form certifies that you are the rightful owner of the submitted work and own all rights and releases necessary for public screening. All legal clearances and releases including, but not limited to talent, music or stock footage are the responsibility of the filmmaker. The submitted film is not subject to litigation and is not threatened by litigation.

We require 2 DVD screener copies (NTSC-US format). They must be clearly labeled with title, running time, director’s name and contact e-mail address. A separate entry form and fee must be completed for each film. Payments must be made by PayPal only. No personal checks will be accepted.

DVD screeners will not be returned. Incomplete entries will not be considered.

Please double check to ensure that your DVD plays back properly.

Web Series Entries: Open to all genres. Must be created or performed by people of color. Meet all of the previously stated entry guidelines. However, your submission should be a currently running web series. 2 DVD’S with 1-2 episodes (no longer than 15 minutes each) should be submitted with your completed entry form. Please write ‘Web Series Entry’ on your entry form.

If your work is selected, you agree to provide a final exhibition DVD no later than September 18th, 2018. You give permission for Georgia Latino Film Festival and OVNLatino to utilize Movie, clips or stills of your entry for festival promotional purposes (including but not limited to television, web, OVN Latino and presentations).

There is no premiere requirement, however Georgia Latino Film Festival encourages at least an Atlanta premiere for selected films. A press kit is required only after acceptance. A color production photo or title is required with your submission.

Georgia Latino Film Festival is not responsible for damage to or loss of any submitted materials in route to the Festival. The sender is responsible for all shipping costs (including customs and delivery fees). Georgia Latino Film Festival will only acknowledge receipt of your entry by email.

Notices will only be given to accepted artists by the last week of September. Two festival All Access passes will be given to designated representatives of the selected entry. Master Classes and selected other events are not included.

Feature Film (narrative fiction): (40 minutes +)
Short Film (1-39 minutes)
Documentary: (30 minutes +)
Short Documentary: (1-29 minutes)
Best Web Series (1-15 minutes)

Submission fees cannot be waived. They are payable by PayPal only (please add PayPal use fee). Do not send cash. Submissions will not be returned. Student submissions must include a copy of current school identification.

Note that if your film was shot in Georgia or there are any Georgia ties of your principals (Georgia residence) there is an entry fee reduction. Verification is required.
