The Ventana Madrid 2025 call is open from July 4 to August 21, 2025 for audiovisual production companies based in the Madrid Region. Eligible applicants are either established companies with at least two works in the past five years or emerging companies with less than five years of activity.

Projects in development are welcome (feature films, series, documentaries, or other narrative formats) with international potential, seeking co‑production or funding. Applicants must submit a PDF dossier (up to 5 GB) and optional audiovisual materials through the online form on the official website.

Up to 20 companies will be selected to attend the market in Madrid from October 20 to 22, 2025, gaining personalized B2B meetings, networking opportunities, and international exposure. Registration is free.

Catapult Film Fund is an international grant based in San Francisco that supports early-stage documentary projects, focusing on research and development phases. For 2025, the application period is open from August 6 to September 8, 2025. Applicants must submit a letter of intent with a clear project description and sample audiovisual materials.

Winners receive funding to advance their projects and personalized virtual mentorship over several months. Although open to filmmakers worldwide, those outside the U.S. require a U.S.-based fiscal sponsor. Results are announced in late October or early 2026.

There is no in-person event for selected filmmakers, but remote support is provided. Catapult Film Fund is a valuable opportunity for nonfiction filmmakers seeking creative and financial backing in the early stages of their documentaries.

The 9th Bilbao Professional Documentary Film Forum – ZINEBI Networking 2026 will take place in Bilbao, Spain, from November 23 to 26, 2026. The call for applications will be open from June 25 to September 9, 2026.

The call is aimed at filmmakers from the Basque Country and the rest of Spain, meaning it accepts national applications. It focuses on documentary feature film projects, both at an early stage of project development and at the completion stage, provided that projects in the latter category already have a preliminary cut.

ZINEBI Networking operates as a professional forum for documentary projects, covering project development and Work in Progress/completion. The accepted format is a documentary feature film project.

NaNo Film Market 2026, the industry section of the NaNo Film Festival, will take place in Naples, Italy, from September 29 to October 3, 2026. The call is aimed at short film authors and producers and features two main sections: NaNo Development Lab and Industry Showcase.

The Development Lab will select six unreleased short film projects in development—three fiction and three documentary—with a maximum expected running time of 20 minutes. The program includes intensive training, project development, and a Pitching Day in front of producers, sales agents, and distributors. The Industry Showcase will select five short films of up to 30 minutes, either in advanced post-production or completed, seeking distribution, rights sales, or acquisition opportunities.

Applications are free, and the call does not establish an exclusive nationality restriction. Selected participants must attend the required activities, including a preliminary online session and the in-person program in Naples.

The final application deadline is September 10, 2026, and selected projects will be notified on September 21, 2026.

The 13th Huánuco Film Festival (FENACI 2026) will take place from November 2–6, 2026, in Huánuco, Peru. The festival aims to strengthen Peruvian cinema and the audiovisual industry by fostering exchange among filmmakers, producers, distributors, students, institutions, and industry professionals from Peru and abroad. Its program will include official competitions, training activities, professional meetings, the first Huánuco Audiovisual Market, and Work in Progress Huánuco 2026.

The call is open to national and international participants, depending on the specific section. Eligible formats include feature films and short films in fiction, documentary, and animation, as well as music videos and educational audiovisual works. Specific categories are available for Peruvian productions, filmmakers from Huánuco, women filmmakers, university students, and international productions.

The final submission deadline is September 12, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Peru time. Submitted works will be evaluated from September 13 to October 1, 2026. The general regulations do not provide specific application requirements for the Audiovisual Market or Work in Progress sections.
