BrLab Rough Cut is an intensive workshop for feature films in the editing or post-production stage, aimed at teams from Latin America, the Iberian Peninsula, and Italy. Its goal is to provide personalized guidance from renowned editors to enhance the final cut of fiction films. The 2024 edition will take place in São Paulo from October 4 to 7. Projects must submit a recent cut and be near final editing. Selected films receive Ibermedia grants covering travel, accommodation, and meals for two representatives. The workshop also offers networking opportunities with industry professionals. BrLab Rough Cut has supported internationally awarded films, contributing to the growth and strengthening of the Ibero-American audiovisual industry.

BrLab Rough Cut
The call “Older Women Filmmakers… for Gender Justice” is aimed at women over 50 residing in Cuba who wish to create a short film with a gender and intersectional perspective. The initiative is led by the UNFPA in Cuba, the Havana International New Latin American Film Festival, and Proyecto Palomas.
A grant of 10,000 USD is offered for film production, along with technical guidance and creative support. The selected short film will be screened at the Havana International New Latin American Film Festival.
Projects can be fiction or documentary, up to 15 minutes in length, and should address themes such as gender justice, bodily autonomy, human rights, aging, and diversity. Applicants must submit a form, synopsis, full script, motivation letter, budget, production timeline, and CV.
The application deadline is November 18, 2025, with the final film due by October 30, 2026. The program aims to amplify the voices of older women in Cuban cinema, fostering diversity and fair representation in audiovisual media.

Older Women Filmmakers in Cinema… for Gender Justice
La convocatoria del Animation Lab Clermont-Ferrand 2026 está dirigida a productores internacionales interesados en el desarrollo y la producción de cortometrajes de animación. El taller se llevará a cabo del 31 de enero al 3 de febrero de 2026 en Clermont-Ferrand, Francia, en el marco del Festival Internacional de Cortometrajes y el Mercado de Cortometrajes. La llegada se programa para el 30 de enero y la salida entre el 3 y 4 de febrero.
El programa incluye conferencias de expertos internacionales, trabajo en grupo con presentaciones de planes de producción, retroalimentación y consultas individuales con líderes de grupo. Los participantes recibirán acreditación para el mercado, acceso al foro de coproducción Euro Connection y beneficios posteriores, como la membresía en la red de exalumnos de CEE Animation.
La cuota de participación es de 250 €, incluyendo la matrícula, acreditación al festival y almuerzos, aunque no cubre gastos de viaje ni alojamiento. La convocatoria está abierta a participantes de todo el mundo, con un límite del 30% fuera de la UE. La fecha límite para postularse es el 14 de noviembre de 2025.

Animation Lab Clermont-Ferrand
The Hollywood Storytellers Script Competition is an international screenwriting contest open to feature films, shorts, and TV pilots across all genres. The submission deadline is November 2, 2025. Scripts must be submitted in English as PDFs and meet standard length requirements per category. The jury consists of industry professionals from major studios such as Disney, Netflix, and Warner Bros. Participants can optionally request executive feedback with a free resubmission option.
