Short films in the early stages of development, including fiction, animation, documentary, or experimental genres, are presented to programmers, television channels, and international producers, with the best project awarded by a jury. This event aims to foster partnerships between Portuguese production companies and international decision-makers, focusing on short film projects. In addition to the pitching sessions, it is also a unique opportunity for producers and participants to hold informal meetings.
Additionally, the Blit – "In Development" Award will be presented to the best project, valued at 2,000 euros in post-production services, sponsored by Blit.

Do you have a short film idea? Would you like to develop it in a unique writing experience alongside emerging Spanish-speaking writers, with professional guidance?
The Short Script Workshop in Berlin is opening its sixth call for applications, and we are excited to invite you to participate in this new edition.
Led by María Meira, an award-winning screenwriter with over twenty years of experience in international cinema, our program offers an inspiring audiovisual writing experience in Spanish, aimed at gathering and enhancing the richness of contemporary Spanish-speaking perspectives and voices in Berlin.
In collaboration with the Instituto Cervantes in Berlin, the Workshop provides a platform for creation and reflection, where participants will work intensively and personally on the development of script projects over six months. Additionally, the program includes a cultural exchange experience in the city of Berlin.
A maximum of 9 selected projects will be developed from their early stages to extract their full potential, with the goal of producing a high-quality script that could become a short film lasting between 10 and 20 minutes.

Originario Lab
Work in Progress – Huesca International Film Festival is a professional initiative designed to support Ibero-American short film projects in the final stages of post-production. The program aims to provide visibility, feedback, and networking opportunities for filmmakers whose works have not yet been publicly premiered.
Selected projects participate in presentations before industry experts and may receive awards such as the FESTHOME Award, which offers distribution support and fee waivers for festival submissions, and the CHEMISTRY Award, providing specialized post-production services.
Eligible submissions include fiction, documentary, or animation short films between 5 and 20 minutes in length. The call for the 2026 edition closes on March 19, 2026, with selected projects announced during the festival in June 2026. Attendance at the event is required for project presentations.
