Additionally, the winning short film will be acquired by the Institut Valencià de Cultura for exhibition in various venues, with a special focus on non-commercial public screenings after its festival run. Registration is free and must be completed by May 21, 2025, at 3:00 PM. The Spanish Film Academy opens applications for the 2025-2026 Residency Program, aimed at filmmakers developing audiovisual projects with a strong connection to Madrid.
A total of 20 projects will be selected, providing financial support, personalized mentorship from industry professionals, and a dedicated workspace at the Academy’s headquarters. Participants will also have access to training sessions and networking events organized by the Academy and Madrid City Council.
The program lasts nine months (from October 2025 to June 2026) and is open to both Spanish and international creators.
