Pitching Forum - Fantastika
MIPCOM CANNES 2026 will take place from October 12 to 15, 2026, at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes, France. It is an international content and entertainment market that brings together studios, production companies, distributors, buyers, platforms, and other professionals from more than 100 countries.
The 2026 edition covers television and multi-platform content, including series and multi-genre content, as well as IP and audiovisual and entertainment projects. The market allows participants to exhibit and promote programs and projects, hold business meetings, establish contacts, and participate in screenings, showcases, and industry activities.
Participation is international. Registration for visitors and buyers is available, but official opening and closing application dates for the 2026 edition are not specified. For exhibitors, the platform allows programs and projects to be presented and promoted to buyers; it is recommended that they be uploaded before September 11, 2026.

MIPCOM - Cannes
PLATINO NEXT GEN is an audiovisual development lab organized by EGEDA, based in Spain, aimed at strengthening film projects from the Ibero-American region. The call is open to creators working in fiction, documentary, and animation, particularly those with projects in development or pre-production stages.
Applications were open from March 12 to April 10, 2026. The program takes place in several in-person stages between July and October 2026, hosted in different Spanish cities including Madrid, Santander, and San Sebastián.
This is an international initiative that accepts submissions from across Ibero-America, not limited to Spanish nationals. Its main focus is the comprehensive development of feature film projects, with emphasis on financing strategies, production structuring, and pitching preparation for industry stakeholders.
The lab combines training, mentorship, and direct access to audiovisual industry professionals such as producers, platforms, and funding bodies. It is designed as an industry-driven space to support projects in reaching viability and international circulation.

Platino Next Gen
FERATUM Residency 2026 is an international screenplay development lab held in Mexico for screenwriters, directors, and producers developing fiction feature films within the fantastic film genre. The call is open to both Mexican and international applicants, provided that the screenplay is written in at least 60% Spanish. Eligible projects include genres such as horror, fantasy, science fiction, thriller, suspense, gore, western, dark comedy, action, and related subgenres.
Applications will be accepted from March 25 to July 9, 2026. The residency will take place in person from August 10–14, 2026, at Rancho Yapalpa, located between Tlalpujahua, Michoacán, and El Oro, State of Mexico. The program focuses on strengthening feature film projects through mentorship, script development, and professional guidance, while also providing selected participants with opportunities to connect with leading international film industry platforms and markets.
