La Meseta Distribution 2026 is an industry laboratory organized by SEMINCI in Spain to strengthen the distribution and communication strategies of independent feature films before their commercial release. The program is intended for teams composed of an independent distributor based in Spain and a film publicity agency or press representative, or a distributor with an in-house communications department.
The call for applications is open from July 24 to September 14, 2026. Selected projects will take part in online mentoring sessions throughout October 2026 and will present their distribution campaigns in person during the 71st SEMINCI, taking place in Valladolid from October 23 to 31, 2026.
The laboratory accepts feature films in fiction, documentary, and animation, with a minimum running time of 60 minutes. Its main objective is to help participants design effective theatrical release strategies. La Meseta - Seminci
La convocatoria de industria de Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival se realiza en Canadá y está enfocada en proyectos documentales de carácter internacional. Incluye instancias como pitch (Forum), mercado e индустрia, y espacios de desarrollo y work in progress como Deal Maker, orientados a conectar proyectos con financiadores, distribuidores y socios de coproducción.
Las fechas de realización del mercado e industria son del 27 al 29 de abril de 2026. En cuanto a las postulaciones, las principales convocatorias para proyectos (como Forum y Deal Maker) tienen como fecha límite el 18 de diciembre de 2025. Para inscripción de películas al festival, la última fecha disponible corresponde al 8 de enero de 2026.
La convocatoria está dirigida a proyectos documentales en distintos formatos, principalmente largometrajes y series, en diversas etapas de desarrollo, producción o finalización. Es una plataforma internacional que acepta postulaciones de distintos países y se posiciona como uno de los principales espacios de industria para el documental a nivel global.

¡MATCH! Profesional 2026 is an industry initiative of Encuentros Australes at the Valdivia International Film Festival (FICValdivia), designed to connect audiovisual professionals and companies from Chilean regions with the film industry. Simbiosis Inmersiva Lab is a collaborative development lab organized by Encuentros Australes of the Valdivia International Film Festival (FICValdivia). It brings together filmmakers and science professionals to create immersive storytelling projects using Extended Reality (XR) technologies, including virtual, augmented, and mixed reality. The program is open exclusively to Chilean citizens or residents of Chile interested in science communication through innovative audiovisual formats. Projects may be at the concept or development stage, with no genre restrictions, provided they incorporate scientific content and a clear immersive approach. The lab will take place in Valdivia, Chile, from October 9–12, 2026, offering mentorships, workshops, and collaborative sessions led by national and international experts. Applications close on August 16, 2026, and selected participants will be announced during the first week of September.
