Ideatoon 2026 es una convocatoria de Pixelatl orientada al desarrollo de proyectos de animación latinoamericanos con potencial de mercado internacional. El proceso está diseñado para proyectos en etapa de desarrollo, donde los participantes deben presentar una Pitch Bible de series o largometrajes animados. La convocatoria es abierta a creadores de toda Latinoamérica y busca impulsar la industria mediante instancias de formación, pitch y vinculación con ejecutivos internacionales.
La postulación cierra el 15 de junio de 2026 a las 23:59 hrs (hora centro de México). Posteriormente, los proyectos seleccionados se anuncian el 25 de junio de 2026, dando paso a un Bootcamp intensivo que se realiza del 28 al 30 de julio de 2026. Las actividades culminan en la Cumbre Ideatoon dentro del Festival Pixelatl en noviembre de 2026, donde se realizan los pitch finales ante productores y estudios internacionales, y se anuncia al proyecto ganador el 14 de noviembre de 2026.
La convocatoria se realiza en México, pero es de alcance internacional dentro de Latinoamérica. Acepta únicamente proyectos de animación en desarrollo, principalmente series y largometrajes, no obras terminadas. El programa incluye instancias de formación, mentorías y acceso a un mercado profesional de la industria audiovisual.

Pixelatl - Ideatoon
Mecal Lab es un programa profesional de desarrollo de cortometrajes que se celebra anualmente en Barcelona, España, dentro del reconocido Festival Mecal Pro. El laboratorio selecciona cinco proyectos de ficción (de menos de 30 minutos) y ofrece formación intensiva mediante siete talleres especializados. Los temas incluyen crowdfunding, asesoría de guion, marketing y distribución, cine sostenible, financiación pública, IA en el cine y técnicas de pitching. Cada proyecto recibe mentoría personalizada y una ayuda de €3,000 para la producción.
La edición 2025 se realizará del 26 de junio al 6 de julio. Los aspirantes deben enviar una biografía del director y productor, una carta de motivación, el dossier completo del proyecto y el guion del cortometraje. La tasa de inscripción es de €15 y el plazo finaliza el 15 de mayo de 2025.

Mercado de Sheffield DocFest
The Projects Submission call for the FEST – New Directors | New Films Festival in Portugal (Espinho) invites film projects to its Pitching Forum 2026. Submissions are open from December 18, 2025 to April 6, 2026, with Early Bird, regular, and late fee periods. The main event takes place during the festival, running June 20–28, 2026, with training sessions from June 23–25 and final pitch presentations on June 26–27, 2026. This call accepts international submissions with no country restrictions and is open to projects of all genres and filmmaking techniques (fiction, documentary, animation, experimental). The focus area is a Pitching Forum for development, funding, and co-production, where selected projects are presented to industry professionals. Accepted formats include feature films, short films, and series at various stages from development to post-production, organized in categories such as Feature Gems, Work In Progress, Make It Short, and Series, according to the participation guidelines.

FEST — Pitching Forum
The Industry Screenings at the Curtas Vila do Conde IFF are private sessions showcasing new short films that seek a world or international premiere. These sessions are exclusively dedicated to film industry professionals, offering a unique opportunity to view unseen films and generate interest and establish connections with programmers, distributors, and other professionals in the industry.
The event is aimed at a select audience, including programmers and artistic directors of festivals, who are responsible for selecting films for other international festivals, sales agents, who seek new titles to market globally, distributors, who are looking for cinematic content for different markets and platforms, and television channels, which are often looking for new works to broadcast. Other professionals, such as producers and filmmakers, can also participate to explore networking opportunities.
The program for the Industry Screenings is created in collaboration with the Agency for Short Film, an organization specializing in the curation and promotion of short films, ensuring the selection of high-quality and internationally relevant films.
