ESTELAB is a laboratory that seeks to generate a space for work, training and development of film projects from Latin America and Europe, with potential for international co-production whether for financial, technical or creative reasons.
The fifth edition of ESTELAB will take place in a mixed way (online and in person) and will offer training and consulting spaces for film projects from Latin America and Europe, with special interest in Colombia and Peru. The objective of the laboratory is to prepare and develop film projects in the development phase to enhance their possibilities of having international co-producers, presenting themselves in international markets and applying for various funds.

MAFF is a space that fosters artistic and financial growth, innovation, and visibility for projects, generating a network of contacts, increasing funding opportunities, and promoting an effective communication environment that facilitates dialogue among producers, production companies, and professionals in the global audiovisual industry.
To achieve this, we will offer training activities, mentorship, and business connections, all contributing to the establishment of business agreements that will enable the future financing of our selected projects.

Ópera de Leyva: A space where the new Colombian cinema is born. Five first fiction feature film projects, selected by call, will have group workshops and personalized tutoring, with experts in project development, script, production, pitch and distribution.

The laboratory will be held between January 18 and 21 in person in José Ignacio, Uruguay, and will consist of tutorials with international experts; Therefore, when applying, both producer and director agree to attend in person.
It will mainly focus on script and production design, financing and co-production policies, project design; and pitching.

JIIFF LAB
Created by the Locarno Festival in 2014, Industry Academy is an intensive training program whose objective is to foster innovation in young professionals in the film industry, working specifically in the area of independent film circulation: online and traditional distribution , sales, film marketing, exhibition, festival programming, among others. The workshop acts as a shortcut for a new generation of professionals entering the independent film industry, encouraging their development and helping them better understand the challenges of the industry, as well as expand their networks. The objective of Locarno Industry Academy is also to build bridges of collaboration across different markets in Europe, North America, Latin America, the Middle East, South Africa and South Asia.
