The pitch call for short films in postproduction at Curt Creixent 2025 is open to filmmakers born or registered in the Valencian Community, or with production companies based there. Projects must be in postproduction, with a final runtime not exceeding 40 minutes. Up to four short films will be selected to present in a professional pitch session during Curt Creixent, held from June 23 to 25, 2025, in Valencia. Selected projects will receive feedback from a panel of experts and participate in a preparatory training workshop. Additionally, the winning short film will be acquired by the Institut Valencià de Cultura for exhibition in various venues, with a special focus on non-commercial public screenings after its festival run. Registration is free and must be completed by May 21, 2025, at 3:00 PM. Required materials include a link to the rough cut of the short film, a project dossier with relevant information, and promotional materials.

Curt Creixent - Postproduction
The Film Poster Competition of the 46th Havana International Festival of New Latin American Cinema invites graphic designers, visual artists, and creatives from Latin America and the Caribbean to submit original posters related to Latin American cinema. Posters must be unpublished, created in 2024 or 2025, and not previously exhibited or awarded.
The call for submissions is open from May 5 to August 15, 2025. Applicants must complete the registration form available on the festival's official website: habanafilmfestival.com. Submissions should include a high-resolution digital version of the poster, a brief conceptual description, and the author's biography.
A jury will select the most outstanding posters, which will be exhibited during the festival, and will award the Coral Award for Best Film Poster. This competition aims to promote creativity and graphic design within the Latin American cinematic context.

FILM POSTER COMPETITION – LA HABANA
The Inspired Screenwriting Competition is more than just a contest; it’s an experience designed to help screenwriters discover their authentic voice. Through their course “Finding Your Voice As A Screenwriter,” participants explore techniques to deeply connect with their creativity and develop original stories that reflect their unique perspective. They also offer workshops and guided meditations to help overcome creative blocks and encourage a more mindful, fluid writing process.
This holistic approach combines technical learning with personal growth, supporting writers to develop not only their scripts but also their confidence and distinctive style within the film industry.

The Inspired Screenwriting Competition
The Spanish Film Academy opens applications for the 2025-2026 Residency Program, aimed at filmmakers developing audiovisual projects with a strong connection to Madrid.
A total of 20 projects will be selected, providing financial support, personalized mentorship from industry professionals, and a dedicated workspace at the Academy’s headquarters. Participants will also have access to training sessions and networking events organized by the Academy and Madrid City Council.
The program lasts nine months (from October 2025 to June 2026) and is open to both Spanish and international creators.

El Concurso Latinoamericano de Argumentos LATINX 2025, organizado por el Latin American Training Center (LATC), está dirigido a guionistas emergentes, estudiantes y recién graduados de Latinoamérica sin experiencia en largometrajes producidos. La convocatoria acepta argumentos de hasta 3 páginas para largometrajes de ficción o documentales que aborden el tema “Lugares Latinoamericanos”. La inscripción está abierta hasta el 2 de julio de 2025, con distintas tarifas y modalidades, incluyendo descuentos para grupos en situación de diversidad e inclusión, y opción de inscripción social gratuita. Los premios incluyen dinero en efectivo, sesiones de coaching con la reconocida guionista Kate Lyra, licencias del software Final Draft y libros. El jurado está compuesto por destacados profesionales del cine y la dramaturgia de Brasil y Perú.
