Projects in development are welcome (feature films, series, documentaries, or other narrative formats) with international potential, seeking co‑production or funding. Montevideo Cine LAB – LAB SERIES 2026 es un laboratorio de desarrollo para proyectos originales de series dirigido a guionistas, realizadores y productores. La convocatoria está destinada a personas uruguayas y a extranjeras con residencia legal en Uruguay de al menos cinco años. Se aceptan proyectos de cualquier género, formato o modelo de producción, siempre que se encuentren en etapa de desarrollo, cuenten con un mínimo de cuatro episodios y no hayan iniciado su rodaje.
El laboratorio se realizará de manera presencial en Montevideo, Uruguay, del 13 al 17 de octubre de 2026, ofreciendo tutorías especializadas y espacios de trabajo para fortalecer el desarrollo creativo y de producción de los proyectos. La fecha límite de postulación es el 23 de agosto de 2026 a las 23:59 horas. Los proyectos seleccionados podrán acceder a premios que incluyen apoyo para la realización de un teaser o piloto y la participación en un mercado internacional.
