The Industry Academy Brasil is an intensive training program created by the Locarno Film Festival in 2014, designed to foster innovation among young professionals in the film industry, focusing on areas such as distribution, sales, film marketing, exhibition, and festival programming. This program is aimed at young professionals with the goal of providing them with strategic tools to enhance their skills and strengthen their presence in the international film market.
The program takes place within the framework of BrLab, a renowned event in Brazil dedicated to the training, development, and support of the audiovisual industry in Latin America. BrLab is a key space for cinema professionals seeking to improve their projects, gain knowledge about the global industry, and strengthen their network of contacts. During the program, participants have the opportunity to engage in workshops, mentoring sessions, and networking activities, focusing on key aspects such as the internationalization and distribution of film projects, as well as financing and marketing strategy.

Industry Academy Brasil
BrLab Audience Design 2026 is a workshop focused on strategic audience development for fiction and documentary feature films. The call is open to projects from Latin America and the Iberian Peninsula, accepting international submissions.
Applications are open until December 12, 2025, and the main in-person workshop will take place in São Paulo, Brazil, from April 7 to 14, 2026, with preparatory online activities in February and March. The lab focuses on audience strategy for projects in development, rather than pitches or traditional markets.
Only feature films are accepted, including live action, animation, or hybrid projects. The program provides tools and expert guidance to strengthen the connection between the project and its potential audience, fostering effective dissemination and promotion strategies.

La convocatoria Cine en Construcción 45 se llevará a cabo los días 26 y 27 de marzo de 2026 en Toulouse, dentro de la Plataforma Profesional del Festival Cinélatino. Este programa está diseñado para apoyar películas latinoamericanas en etapa de postproducción, facilitando su finalización, circulación internacional y proyección ante profesionales del cine.
Las inscripciones estarán abiertas hasta el 28 de enero de 2026. La selección contará con seis proyectos, elegidos por un comité especializado que prioriza obras con un enfoque innovador y diverso. El objetivo principal de Cine en Construcción es impulsar los largometrajes seleccionados hacia festivales y mercados internacionales, promoviendo encuentros y colaboraciones entre cineastas y productores.
La convocatoria acepta únicamente largometrajes de ficción, animación, experimental o híbridos, y está dirigida a cineastas latinoamericanos. Este espacio se ha consolidado desde 2002 como un trampolín para que las películas emergentes encuentren su público y fortalezcan su recorrido profesional, destacando la diversidad cultural y las nuevas miradas en el cine latinoamericano.

Cine en Construcción - TOULOUSE
The third edition of the AFTER program, organized by ECAM Industria in Spain, is aimed at short film projects in development, providing support for emerging creators in their creative and production processes. Applications are open from December 12, 2025, to January 12, 2026, at 3:00 PM.
The program will take place over approximately one week in the first quarter of 2026, likely between late January and March. It is aimed at ECAM alumni and residents of the Madrid region, so international submissions outside this scope are not accepted.
AFTER accepts projects of any genre, including fiction, documentary, or animation, and focuses on script development, production, legal and financial guidance, as well as personalized mentorship. Participants will have the opportunity to showcase their projects at film forums and markets to enhance visibility and funding opportunities.
The required project format is exclusively short film, and selected participants will receive professional support to strengthen their projects comprehensively.

ECAM After
CineMart, the 43rd edition of IFFR Pro’s co-production market, will take place during the 55th International Film Festival Rotterdam from January 29 to February 8, 2026. For the first time, it introduces CineMart x HBF, highlighting projects supported by the Hubert Bals Fund. The call is open for feature-length and immersive projects in development seeking co-production and financing partners. There is a tiered fee structure: early (€25 excl. VAT) until July 7, 2025; standard (€35) until August 21; late (€55) until the final deadline on August 27, 2025. Projects must be debuting at Rotterdam, viable, and led by a director-producer team. Feature films need a minimum 60‑minute runtime, full script available during CineMart, at least secured national or third‑party funding, budgets under €6M, and international coproduction potential. Immersive works (VR/AR/MR/360°) should be in development, with ≥25 % of the budget secured, created by experienced immersive artists, new to the market, with full documentation in English. Deadline: August 27, 2025.
