The ALGA Ibero-American Residency 2026 is an in-person training opportunity for filmmakers and audiovisual professionals with feature film and series projects in development. Applications are open until January 31, 2026 and the program is open to international applicants from Ibero-America, Spain, and Portugal, with no genre or theme restrictions. It accepts fiction, documentary, animation, and experimental projects in development. The residency takes place in Valdivia, Chile, in four-week sessions divided into Group 1 (April 27 – May 22, 2026), Group 2 (June 1 – 26, 2026), and Group 3 (July 6 – 31, 2026). Participants receive creative and industry support, training activities, and dedicated time to develop their projects. This program aims to strengthen and support emerging audiovisual works during early stages of creation.

Residencia Alga
The Venice Production Bridge 2025 will take place from August 28 to September 3 during the 82nd Venice International Film Festival. This platform is designed to boost the financing and co-production of audiovisual projects in advanced development stages. It brings together global industry professionals through initiatives such as the Venice Gap-Financing Market, which showcases fiction feature films, creative documentaries, and immersive projects that have at least 70% of their funding secured.
Other key sections include Final Cut in Venice, supporting post-production films from Africa and the Arab world; the Book Adaptation Rights Market, connecting publishers and literary agents with producers; and the Venice Immersive Market, focused on XR, VR, and AR experiences. Additionally, the Meet the Streamers program facilitates direct contact with streaming and VOD platforms. In 2025, the spotlight will be on the United Kingdom, Chile, and Morocco, with curated events promoting their film industries.

Venice Production Bridge
The Huesca International Film Festival launches the first edition of Pitching HIFF, a call for emerging filmmakers residing in Spain with short films in development (not completed). The aim is to connect new talent with producers interested in supporting short films. Projects can be fiction, documentary, non-fiction, or animation, up to 30 minutes long. Submission is free via Festhome until May 6, 2025.
Selected projects will be presented in a pitching session (10 minutes + 5 minutes Q&A) on June 11, 2025, either in person or online, during HIFF’s 53rd edition. Required materials include a dossier, CV, director’s statement, and script or treatment. Selected projects receive a diploma and exposure to producers.

PITCHING - Festival Internacional De Cine De Huesca
IndieLisboa Lab es un laboratorio de desarrollo de proyectos cinematográficos dirigido a cineastas portugueses o extranjeros con residencia permanente en Portugal. Su objetivo es ofrecer mentoría y talleres centrados en el desarrollo narrativo, la visión creativa y la preparación de proyectos para el mercado nacional e internacional.
La convocatoria para la edición 2026 está abierta hasta el 16 de enero de 2026. Las actividades del laboratorio se realizarán en dos fases: la primera del 27 al 29 de marzo de 2026 y la segunda del 3 al 6 de mayo de 2026.
Se aceptan proyectos de cualquier género, incluyendo ficción, documental, animación y experimental. El laboratorio está orientado a proyectos en fase de desarrollo, ya sean cortometrajes o largometrajes, ofreciendo herramientas de mentoría, retroalimentación y asesoría profesional.
Aunque algunos participantes extranjeros pueden aplicar si cumplen con la condición de residencia en Portugal, la convocatoria no es internacional abierta a cualquier país. Está diseñada principalmente como una iniciativa nacional con foco en fortalecer la industria cinematográfica portuguesa.

Indie Lab - Industria
DocuLab: Documentary Lab is an industry program of the Guadalajara International Film Festival, aimed at promoting the development of Ibero-American filmmakers and their documentary films in the editing stage, through in-depth analysis and discussions with experts in the genre.
For its fourteenth edition, DocuLab returns in person, continuing its role as a fundamental training space for the non-fiction genre in Ibero-America.
