MEDIMED Doc Market 2026 is an international documentary market held in Sitges, Spain, from October 9 to October 12, 2026. The call is open to documentary projects in development, production, or post-production, as well as completed documentaries and series. It is aimed at producers and directors with internationally oriented documentary projects.

The ABYCINE LANZA – AMNISTÍA INTERNACIONAL 2025 call supports the production of a short film focused on human rights. It is open to production companies, professionals, and amateurs, with at least one co-producer legally established in Spain. The short film must be in development or pre-production stage, up to 30 minutes long, and in any genre or format.
Projects should address themes such as freedom of expression, women’s rights, migration, climate justice, or armed conflict. The award includes €5,000 in production support and up to €2,000 for promotional activities.
Selected projects will be showcased at Abycine Lanza 2025, and the winning short will premiere in Abycine Cortos 2026, a Goya-qualifying section. Applications are open until June 30, 2025.

ABYCINE LAUNCHES – AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL
Curta Roteiros – 1st Short Film Screenplay Contest is a Brazilian call focused on recognizing unpublished short film screenplays created for independent cinema. It accepts international submissions and is open to both professional and amateur writers presenting original works.
The 2026 edition will take place from November 14, 2025 to February 15, 2026, with the submission deadline on January 6, 2026. The call is focused on a screenplay competition and does not correspond to a pitch, laboratory, market, or Work in Progress program.
It accepts fiction and non-fiction short film screenplays, written in Portuguese, with a maximum length of 30 pages and following the Master Scenes format. Eligible genres include fiction, documentary, animation, fantasy, horror, experimental and other short film narrative formats.

Curta Roteiros - Short Film Script Contest
The IDFA Forum 2025 call for entries is open from June 2 to July 25, 2025. The forum takes place in November in Amsterdam, during the IDFA Festival. Creators can submit creative documentaries (feature-length, series, or immersive/interactive projects) in one of four categories: Forum Pitch, Rough Cut Presentations, Producers Connection, or DocLab Forum.
Projects must be in development, production, or post-production. Submissions require audiovisual material (teaser, clip, or rough cut), synopsis, financing plan, and production strategy. If pre-selected, further materials are due in August.

Forum - IDFA
Proyecta is an initiative within the Ventana Sur audiovisual market designed to promote international co-production between Europe and Latin America. The 8th edition will take place in Buenos Aires, Argentina, from December 1 to 5, 2025, as part of Ventana Sur, with an in-person pitching session on December 3 and professional networking throughout the event. Proyecta accepts international submissions, welcoming producers from both Europe and Latin America with feature film projects in development (first or second films) in both fiction and non-fiction. Selected projects are presented to industry professionals, co-producers, sales agents, and programmers to help secure partnerships and financing. The call is specifically for feature films over 60 minutes and does not include short films or animation. For 2025, twelve projects were selected from a range of countries, highlighting the international scope of the program. The submission period closed before October, with selections announced in October 2025. Proyecta serves as a pitching and co-production platform within the Ventana Sur market, helping emerging filmmakers connect with global industry opportunities.
