The 2025 Series Lab call, organized by DETOUR, targets Uruguayan screenwriters, directors, and producers with series projects in development. They seek original series without genre or format restrictions, with a minimum of four episodes and filming planned after October 2025. The lab will take place from October 14 to 18, 2024, in a hybrid format (both in-person and virtual), offering workshops, group sessions, and individual mentoring to strengthen projects. Participants must be fully available during these dates. Awards include the opportunity to pitch at LINKS in Puigcerdà, Catalonia, in 2026, and support for shooting a teaser or pilot. Applicants must be over 18, Uruguayan nationals or legal residents in Uruguay for at least five years. Each participant may submit up to two projects but can only be selected for one. Montevideo Cine LAB - LAB SERIES
The "Desafío en una Toma 2025" call is part of the DETOUR.uy New Film Festival, aimed at Uruguayan audiovisual artists and students aged 18 and over. The goal is to promote comedy short films shot in a single continuous take, with a maximum length of 5 minutes. Works must be filmed between July and September 2025 and submitted in digital format (.MP4 HD). A festival-provided opening slate is mandatory, and permissions are required for filming in public spaces. Entries must be original, not previously screened, nor available online. Submission deadline is September 14, 2025, with finalists announced on September 20 and screening during the festival's 13th edition in October 2025. Detour Challenge 2025: ONE-SHOT COMEDY
The Audiovisual Laboratory: Industry in Focus call is aimed at creative duos (director and producer) who identify as women, trans, or non-binary in Argentina. They seek feature film or series projects in development, either fiction or documentary. Projects must be original and have one or two previous works premiered or exhibited.
Applications are open until July 31, 2025. Eight projects will be selected to participate in virtual mentoring from August to October. The process concludes with a final pitch event in Buenos Aires, with travel and accommodation covered for those outside the AMBA area.
The two winning projects will receive financial support of 10 million Argentine pesos to advance their development. The call aims to promote diversity, inclusion, and professionalization in Argentina’s audiovisual industry, fostering gender equity and new voices.

Bolivia Lab - Rally de Pitch
The International Co-Production Meeting (EIC) 2025 at Festival Ícaro invites Spanish-speaking directors and producers worldwide to submit feature film projects (fiction, documentary, animation) or series in development.
Applications are open from June 1 to July 31, 2025. Selected projects will first join a virtual stage (October 18–25) with mentoring, masterclasses, and pitch training. They will then attend the in‑person stage in Guatemala (November 24–29) during Festival Ícaro, featuring mentorships, pitching sessions, and one‑on‑one meetings with potential international co‑producers.
Up to 12 projects will be chosen, represented by their director and/or producer. Applicants must submit a full dossier, a video pitch (max 5 minutes), CV, motivation letter, budget, and financing plan.
