LAB-PNR is a training and development lab designed to support emerging filmmakers, screenwriters, directors, and producers in the creation of their professional short films. After three successful editions, it has become a benchmark within Spain’s emerging film industry. The 2025 edition offers an intensive space to enhance the aesthetic and narrative quality of selected projects, improve their dossiers, and prepare them for a final pitch in front of industry professionals.

Eight projects will be selected from members of PNR, SGAE, and/or DAMA, whose creators are involved as directors, producers, and/or screenwriters. Participants will receive masterclasses, one-on-one consultations with industry experts, and leave the lab with strong materials ready to present to funding bodies and potential investors.

The lab will take place in Madrid at SGAE headquarters from June 2 to 5, 2025. Selected participants (up to two per project) will receive full scholarships covering all lab activities, including breakfast and lunch during the sessions. Travel and accommodation expenses must be covered by the participants.

The LAB concludes with a final pitch in September, during the Industry Section of the Madrid-PNR Film Festival, offering a valuable opportunity to connect with production companies, distributors, and streaming platforms.

The seventh edition of Rio2C 2025 invited creators and producers to pitch their audiovisual projects in categories such as documentary/factual, animation, fiction, reality, and podcast. Both Industry (for companies with CNPJ) and Talent (for individual creators with CPF) pitching sessions provided a platform to connect with executives from streaming platforms, TV channels, production companies, and distributors, facilitating opportunities for co-production, licensing, and distribution. Selected participants received prior training to enhance their presentations. Additionally, projects registered in the Business Rounds had the option to participate in the corresponding pitching session, increasing their visibility and collaboration prospects.

FILMA BIOBÍO 2026 is an intensive filmmaking call held within BIOBÍO CONECTA, the industry and market section of the Lebu International Film Festival. The program invites national and international creative teams to develop and produce an original short film during the festival, using locations in the Biobío Region as a central narrative and visual element.

Selected projects must complete shooting and final editing between May 22 and May 28, 2026, including mandatory scenes filmed in both Lebu and Concepción. The call is open to fiction and documentary short films with a final duration between 5 and 10 minutes.

Each team may include up to three members. The organization provides festival accreditation, shared accommodation, and meals for selected participants. Final works must be screened before the jury on May 29 as part of the festival program.

FILMA BIOBÍO aims to encourage audiovisual creation under extreme production conditions, promote decentralized filmmaking, and highlight the cinematic potential of the region.
