SunChild International Environmental Festival, established by Foundation for the Preservation of Wildlife and Cultural Asset (FPWC ), is the 1st and so far the only environmental festival holding on in the South Caucasus region. More than 300 films from 150 countries around the world were screened over the last 9 years of existence. Film fest includes wide range of activities such as carnival marches, dozens of workshops, conferences and exhibitions. All events are eye catching due to their colorful and unique approaches. The festival takes place every autumn, however the events ‘‘travel’’ in the regions of Armenia throughout the whole year, involving a large number of children and youth, facilitating identification and creative solutions of community environmental issues by organizing thematic film screenings, discussions and other initiatives, encouraging and supporting to take action locally.
The aim of the festival is to bring nature, wildlife and environment into the focus of public attention and increase the knowledge about issues among citizens and especially among children and youth.

Winners of 3 categories will be awarded with unique handmade souvenir symbolizing SunChild Film Festival. Also special certificates will be given made from recycled flowers laid on Genocide Memorial.
USAGE RIGHTS
-The festival has a right to extend up to 5-minute fragments from films to TV channels for the festival’s promotional activities.
-Sent films won’t be returned
-After the screenings during the festival, films will supplement the festival’s archive.
-The applicant is responsible for the film’s content which mustn’t contain any working law violation or offensive element.

APPLICATIONS
The applicant may submit unlimited number of films.
Submitted application form suggests agreement with all the points of this regulation.

Since SunChild IEFF has focused on the aim to raise public awareness for environmental issues and to stimulate an open discussion which helps to develop creative solutions for environmental problems in Armenia and the whole Caucasus region environmental film program is one of the most important parts of the festival. Films on hot topics of today’s environmental issues worldwide are welcome to submit

Environmental education of the young generation is one of the most crucial factors for the care of nature and the environment, along with youth participation in political decisions concerning environmental issues. They must be involved in the international investigation of environmental issues. That’s why our special section is dedicated to films and animations on environmental and wildlife topics directed and produced by children and youth worldwide.
