Minimum Requirements for Film Submission:

Feature Film Over 60 Minutes:
Any Type of Fictions Over 60 Minutes are Eligible for This Category.
All films must carry English Subtitles.

Long Documentary Over 60 Minutes:
Any Type of Non-Fictions Over 60 Minutes are Eligible for This Category.
All films must carry English Subtitles.

Long Animation Film Over 60 Minutes:
Any Animated Type of Fictions, Non-Fictions or Mixtures of both Over 60 Minutes are Eligible for This Category.
All films must carry English Subtitles.

Long Experimental Film Over 60 Minutes:
Any Experimental Type of Fictions, Non-Fictions or Mixtures of both Over 60 Minutes are Eligible for This Category.

Rules & Terms

Films produced on any format can be submitted.

All films must carry English Subtitles. (It would help selection Committee and jury understand the right context and help evaluate the film better.)

By submitting a film, all participants give the organizer(s), Kanyakumari International Film Festival 2017 the authorization to the catalogs and publications, as well as on the website, all the information, including photos. The organizer(s), Kanyakumari International Film Festival 2017 will share the information with its publicity partners.

Although participants enjoy freedom of expression in creating their works, their productions must not either in the film or associated posters and documentation:
A. Contain hateful, racist, sexist, offensive or defamatory statements.
B. Cause harm to anyone.
C. Constitute an invasion of privacy

Dubbed/revised/copied version of a film shall not be eligible for entry in the festival.

Violation of provisions of the Copyright Act, if proved, will result in a bar on the entry of the film.

All films which are selected / nominated for the Festival, will be informed by emails & listed on our website www.kanyakumarifilmfestival.webs.com

The list of selected films will be available on Kanyakumari International Film Festival’s website from May 17, 2017.

Films once selected & submitted for final screening will not be allowed to be withdrawn under any circumstances until festival is over.

Kanyakumari International Film Festival is building an archive of films. To this effect, all films submitted to the festival are kept and may be transferred to digital or any other format for improved storage purposes. They can be freely viewed in the Kanyakumari Film Festival Archive by the public. Programs composed of films may be circulated after the festival for its promotion in India and abroad. The festival authorities will have the right to retain digital copies of each film as part of our festival library & which can be screened in different cities for media educational & non commercial purpose.

Organizer(s) reserves the right to not screen any film for any reason it deems valid. The organizer(s), Kanyakumari International Film Festival 2017 reserves the right to cancel any submission or take any suitable measure in the event of a breach of regulations or in response to any behaviour disturbing the course of the festival.

A Jury appointed by the organizer will select all winners from the selected films.

The list of Award Winning films will be announced on the closing ceremony of 4th Kanyakumari International Film Festival.

The organizer(s), Kanyakumari International Film Festival 2017 or its representative will settle all non specified cases within the terms of the present regulations and may allow special dispensation regarding justified and specific requests.
