The 4th edition of the Film Financing Market (FFM) will take place in October 2025 during the Sitges Festival. The call is open from May 15 to June 30 and accepts fiction feature film projects in development or production stages. National projects must have a budget over 1 million euros and at least 60% guaranteed funding; Ibero-American projects require a minimum budget of 500,000 euros and 50% guaranteed funding. Applicants must submit a synopsis, script, detailed budget, financing plan, and marketing strategy. Selected projects gain free festival access and opportunities to meet investors and co-producers. Catalunya Imaginària - SITGES
The 4th Girls Just Wanna Have FAN call is part of Sitges Festival’s WomanInFan program, aimed at female filmmakers developing fantastic genre projects. It seeks to promote visibility and support for women in the industry through the creation of a short teaser showcasing a fantastic feature film project.
Ten finalists and one winner will be selected. The winner receives €10,000 to produce the short, production support, industry accreditation, project presentation opportunities, and accommodation during the Sitges FanPitch.
Requirements include that both the feature and short are directed by women, the script must be up to 10 pages, the project must be fantastic fiction, and submission of a dossier, pitch video, and budget proposal is necessary. The call opens on March 10, 2025, and closes June 30, 2025.
This initiative fosters creation, visibility, and professional growth of women in fantastic cinema.

Girls just wanna have FAN - SITGES
Cine Pendiente 2025 launches the “Corto y Claro” call for short film projects, aimed at directors, screenwriters, and producers. Four projects will be selected to participate in group feedback sessions and comprehensive training activities. The goal is to strengthen projects through personalized guidance and to prepare production and distribution strategies based on each project’s development stage.
Activities will take place in person and require the active participation of at least the main creator of each project. It is important to note that Cine Pendiente does not cover travel, accommodation, or material preparation expenses, which must be borne by the participants.
This call offers a valuable opportunity to enhance the development and visibility of short films in progress, through professional and collaborative support in a learning environment.

Short and Clear - L'Alternativa
Proyecciones WIP is a call for Cine Pendiente 2025 addressed to directors, screenwriters, and producers of feature films, series, or new formats in post-production. Four projects will be selected to present a 10 to 12-minute excerpt to a professional audience made up of festival programmers, exhibitors, distributors, producers, international sales agents, and buyers. The screenings will take place at the CCCB as part of the L’Alternativa PRO program. Selected projects will receive a grant of 300 euros to cover expenses related to the mandatory stay during the event, contingent on full participation of the team in the program. To be eligible, feature films must have a minimum 40-minute cut for the selection committee’s evaluation, while series or new formats must have at least one pilot episode. The excerpt presented must include subtitles in Catalan or Spanish and English if the original language is different.
