The Association of Women in Film and Television invites to participate in the 11th International Festival of Women in Film and TV, which will take place from 9 to 12 October 2014, in the city of Mexico.
This exhibition aims to bring together and exhibit the most representative works of the different creative audiovisual, Mexican and foreign, in the categories of short film, medium-length feature film of fiction, documentary and animation, film, video and television as well as video art.
BASES
1. The works submitted should have been performed by a woman in the category of direction.
2. The production of the work must have been carried out between 1 January 2012 and the 31 July 2014, closing date of this call for proposals.
3. Not eligible works already exhibited in any of the previous samples of Women in Film and Television; nor can participate those works that have had a season of exhibition halls of the city of Mexico.
4.The deadline for registration and receipt of materials will be on Thursday, July 31, 2014.
5. Sample XI registration is totally free and must accompany the application form and the following files in jpg format and 300 dpi resolution:
● Photo fixed or still from the work presented
● Photo Director
● promotional poster (optional)
6. The registration and submission of works will be done online, at any of the following ways:
a. Through Festhome platform (https://festhome.com/f/576). Sending Mexicans work up to 59 minutes will be free. Sending work 60 minutes later, both Mexican and foreign, will cost marked by Festhome.
In this case, the registration form is equivalent to the form requesting the platform and there you can upload the required documents.
b. Through a social network of videos or platform to share information.
In this case, the application form will be filled online in http://www.mujerescineytv.org page. In the application form should write the link of the work that postulate. The required documents should be sent to email: muestra.wift.mex@gmail.com
7. All entries must be complete, including work that is postulated, otherwise not be taken into account in the selection.
8. Registration implies that the applicant authorizes the full projection of his work, in the XI International Festival of women in cinema and TV in their different locations; as well as the use of excerpts, photographs or stills for promotional purposes of the sample.
9. No advertising or propaganda papers will be accepted.
10. The materials must be submitted in Spanish or subtitled language to this.
11. The Committee Organizer, made up of recognized professionals, will be curated and pre-selection of the works to integrate the display program, which will be notified to each of the selected participants and will be shown on our website from Thursday, August 21, 2014.
12. The projection of the works selected for the sample material will be received in DCP, accompanied by a copy on DVD or Bluray. At the time of notification of selection, informed about the address in Mexico, D.F., where the materials should be sent.
13. The selected materials will receive more take on Monday, September 8, 2014.
14. All costs of materials shall be borne by the participants.
15. The Organizing Committee shall not include in the sample materials that do not meet conditions of format or the dates of the delivery period indicated; He is not liable for damage or loss of material during his transfer.
16. At the end of the sample in its different locations, display materials will be returned to those who decide not to donate them to the acquis of consultation of the Association of women in film and TV.
17. Any matters not provided in this call will be resolved by the Organizing Committee of the XI International Festival of Women in Film and Television.
