Chennai International Independent Film Festival, CIIFF, Tamilnadu, India is an initiative to encourage and promote Independent Film makers all around the world. Our mission is to collect; screen and award the works of independent film makers, actors, writers and so on. The event serves as a purpose to introduce local films in international stage and international films in local stage. We are aiming to become one of the notable brand in the independent film Industry.

Chennai is one of the biggest metropolitan city in India. Being the Headquarter of South-India's Film Industry, Chennai, has over millions of movie loving people. The city loves and nurture's movie like anything. Movie is in its rich culture and heritage. Tamilnadu has over 100+ film related colleges and institutions and releases over 1000+ movies a year. Being the capital of Tamilnadu, chennai is the best place to bring talents together from all over the world.

On Event day, we connect filmmakers with potential producers and like minded people through networking and film markets. The event partners also have vast experience in public relationships and promotions; have launched films, sound tracks and individual short film screenings.

Instead of closed screening with projectors/TV's, We Screen in locations with good acoustics and quality preview theaters.We bring elegant movies without losing its picture quality and sound quality.

In Addition to screening, we collect and list final list of films in our website. Every film is given a separate page & details will be available to share in public. We also do promotions and interview with the winners and publish the videos after the festival.

All efforts are taken to celebrate the art of films. We welcome all.

1.Films should be taken after the year 2013 are allowed.

2.Filmmaker should be responsible for the script.

3.Original works and authority proof is valued in terms of any contradiction.

4.Duration should be equal to or less than 30 Minutes.

5.An Exemption of 2 minutes can be allowed for start and end title cards/credits.

6.Films should not have any distribution deals and partnerships, if have, proper permission should be taken between the producer, production company and director.

7.High quality materials in the format of .Mp4/Mpeg, can be played in screens with 1:1,37; 1:1,66; 1.1,85; CinemaScope ratios and dolby A/SR/SR.D/DTS can be submitted.

8.If high quality film, after selection, is not submitted in the form of DVD/Blueray, downloaded files from online submission will be played.

9.Add Sub-titles in English, is a must to understand the film in a much better way and to various audience.

10.All the decisions taken by the Judges are final. Ciiff panel will have all the rights to reject/disqualify films at anytime/any form/any factor. We take all measures to stop piracy contents.

11.Films listed in the webpage can also linked with you-tube/vimeo video's if available online. Others, those who wish to keep it hidden; the trailers/teasers will be shown online.

12.We do not deal with copyright issues and all should be dealt with the director, producer or producing company and right holders.
