Preliminary note


Since 2008, the Green Me Film Festival has offered a platform for green films, green publicity and green economy. Movies with environment-related topics from all over the world are evaluated and screened at the festival. Each year, the festival has honored filmmakers with the Green Me Award, which comes with prize money, in various categories.

Last year, the festival awarded
filmmakers in five different countries in the categories “Ocean”, “Life” and “Water”. The festival continues to honor filmmakers in the same categories in the upcoming Green Me Festival Berlin Germany.


Film selection


All genres are allowed in the Green Me Award competition, with an emphasis on ecological issues, especially on the topics Climate/Joy/Air. The film should be at least 45 minutes in length and meant for theater screening or festival evaluation. A jury will select the award winners from amongst the films selected to screen at the festival.


Registration

All films must be sent on a Blue-ray Disc or in DCP format by post to the festival office before the 30th of November 2016 with a completed registration form. For the pre-selection, a preview DVD or a download link must be sent to the Green
Me festival office’s postal address. This DVD will be kept in the Green Me festival
library and will not be sent back. By filling out the application form, you agree to have
your film screened at the film festival and, if you are a prizewinner, for it to be used
three times after the festival without a fee.


Jury


An independent expert jury chosen by the festival director will select the winning film.
The Festival director chooses a new jury for each festival annually.


Determination of the winner

Among the directors of the selected films, the jury chooses a winner. Each jury member has only one vote. The decisions of the jury are made by simple majority vote. A legal claim for an award of the prize does not exist. Claims under the provisions of §657-661 BGB cannot be derived. There is no right of appeal.
