El Festival Internacional de Cortometrajes Shorty Week tiene como objetivos:
- Promover el cortometraje como medio de expresión, y por lo tanto, parte de nuestra cultura.
- Dar oportunidad a la difusión de los trabajos de nuevos talentos.
- Acercar al público el mundo del cortometraje a través de diferentes actividades
- Posibilitar, a través de este formato, la contribución a la mejora del mundo en que vivimos.
- Divertir/nos y disfrutar con lo que hacemos.
El X Festival Internacional de Cortometrajes Shorty Week 2023 se desarrollará a comienzos de septiembre en el Castillo de Santa Catalina de Cádiz. Allí se podrán ver los cortometrajes participantes en las diferentes secciones competitivas y la entrega de premios.

The Beeston Oscar, or B’Oscar, is awarded to the best film in the following categories - Drama, Horror, Comedy, Documentary and Animation.
This year a new local competition has been created called Three Counties category, that is split into two sections: Long (up to 15 minutes); and Short (up to 5 minutes). Filmmakers from Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Leicestershire ONLY with films in any genre can submit. FICAMS, Festival Internacional de Cine de la Antártica sobre Ambiente y Sustentabilidad, es un festival competitivo que entrega y enseña a la comunidad, a través del cine, visiones en relación a nuestro hábitat y la cultura. Depuis 2013, l’association « Les Alibis » organise le Film Noir Festival, un festival de films ayant pour thème le Film Noir. Il s’agit du premier et du seul festival en France ayant pour thème ce genre cinématographique.
Lors des premières éditions, le Film Noir Festival s’était donné comme objectif d’éclairer le public sur le courant cinématographique qu’est le Film Noir.
Durant 4 jours, ce sont plus de 30 films de jeunes réalisateurs, au travers de la compétition internationale de courts métrages soumise au regard du jury des professionnels, mais aussi de cinéastes plus confirmés par le biais de la rétrospective généraliste de longs métrages et des avant-premières nationales, qui ont été présentés à un large public éclectique et de tout âge.
En octobre 2013, le Film Noir Festival s’est associé à la Film Noir Foundation de San Francisco créée et présidée par Eddie Muller, spécialiste mondial du Film Noir et fondateur du festival Noir City à San Francisco, à qui elle a décerné son premier Prix d'honneur en décembre 2013.
Pour sa quatrième édition, qui se tiendra du 24 au 27 novembre 2016 au cinéma "Le Vincennes" (94), le Film Noir Festival poursuivra son éclairage sur le Film Noir en proposant de nouveau une programmation de films inédits ou rares au travers de la rétrospective de 10 longs métrages, des avant-premières en ouverture et en clôture du Festival, des hommages à des réalisateurs, des acteurs ou des compositeurs emblématiques du Film Noir mais également au travers de la compétition internationale de courts métrages.
La Rana Film Fest es el Festival Internacional Universitario de Cortometrajes de la Universidad de Salamanca, creado con la intención de impulsar y reconocer la creatividad audiovisual entre la comunidad universitaria.
El plazo de entrega finaliza el 25 de mayo.
Chulpicine nació como una iniciativa en el año 2002 con la primera edición del festival de cine infantil y juvenil en la ciudad de Quito, la acogida de este proyecto hace que Chulpicine se constituya legalmente en junio del 2004 como una fundación cultural y educativa que, a través de herramientas audiovisuales, desarrolla propuestas de fortalecimiento de la participación, la apropiación de espacios públicos, la construcción de ciudadanía y el reconocimiento de la diversidad cultural.
¿Por qué herramientas audiovisuales?
El cine es arte, lenguaje y medio de comunicación, una herramienta fundamental al momento de compartir o crear conocimiento, es transmisor de sentimientos, actitudes, historias y formas de vida que generan identificación, rechazo y/o cuestionamiento. Esta experiencia individual y colectiva, al sumársele una metodología de visionado, articula procesos de análisis, reflexión y debate.
Visión
Chulpicine parte del principio de que la educación, la comunicación y la cultura son factores fundamentales y esenciales, que deben ser tomados en cuenta y articulados en todo proceso colectivo que tenga como objetivo el desarrollo humano.

Desarrollar y perfeccionar metodologías y herramientas de intervención social eficaces, eficientes y sostenibles, para ser replicadas por diversos actores sociales y comunitarios.

Formación
Se lleva a cabo a través de la implementación de metodologías mediante talleres dirigidos a instituciones, organizaciones comunitarias, educadores o promotores sociales con el fin de formar y capacitar en diferentes áreas relacionadas con el audiovisual, la comunicación, y el uso del internet como herramientas de educación y de intervención social.
• Talleres de Producción: Formación en producción audiovisual para actores comunitarios
• Chulpimonitores: Formación de gestores culturales para el trabajo comunitario a través de herramientas audiovisuales en diversas temáticas.
Investigación
A través de la investigación se desarrollan y fortalecen las metodologías y herramientas de intervención para un mejoramiento continuo.
• Modelo de formación por competencias: Diseño de metodologías y herramientas para el aprendizaje a través del audiovisual
• Maleta Viajera: metodología de diseño de materiales didácticos, a partir del audiovisual.
• Seminario: Generación de espacios de encuentro e intercambio de conocimientos
Producción Audiovisual
Realización de material audiovisual en diferentes temáticas y diversos formatos
• Pintacuentos: Serie de televisión infantil educativa e interactiva
• Noticieros Comunitarios: Producción de noticieros realizados por y para las comunidades
• Producciones Independientes: Apoyo a la realización y postproducción de audiovisuales con temáticas sociales.
Gestión Social y Cultural
Esta línea se desarrolla a través de proyectos culturales, sociales y educativos que fomentan la participación ciudadana y apropiación de los espacios públicos.
• Festival de Cine Infantil y Juvenil: Propuesta cinematográfica y audiovisual de entretenimiento y educación no formal, masiva y gratuita, dirigida a las familias.
• Identidad Cultural: Conceptualización y producción de programas de intervención para el rescate de patrimonio intangible y la apropiación de espacios públicos a través de actividades lúdicas.
• Actividades de sensibilización: Ejecución de acciones para la intervención en diversas temáticas como equidad de género, derechos humanos, prevención de violencia, identidad, medio ambiente, prevención de discriminación.

For the past 20 years, NextFrame has been internationally recognized as one of the world’s premiere touring festivals for showcasing student work. NextFrame celebrates the 20th anniversary, and to adapt to changing modes of distribution, the project has grown from a touring festival to an exciting and innovative online film competition. NextFrame curates student work into a professional streaming platform.
NextFrame Student Film Festival accepts cinematography projects, thesis projects, and all other student work made by undergraduate and graduate filmmakers who have held a significant production role (Director, Producer, Screenwriter, Cinematographer) on their project.

Desde CINESPACIO queremos enfocar esta edición del festival en aquellas obras que han puesto su atención en las condiciones migratorias y su relación con las formas de producción audiovisuales. En un mundo donde se construyen fronteras de manera constante y se trazan líneas imaginarias que vulneran identidades -así como las crean-, es necesario para el sector audiovisual pensarse y dialogar su papel en los modos de realización y en las temáticas representadas.
Proponemos interpretar la frontera como un espacio donde las identidades transnacionales nacen y entran en pugna; un espacio donde se generan nuevas redes y comunidades emocionales que están en perpetuo movimiento; un espacio donde enfrentan los retos del reconocimiento del individuo y de la pertenencia comunitaria. Si la frontera es aquello que delimita lo que somos, el cruzar las fronteras implica, entonces, el reto de ser otro y de conocer cómo ser otro a través del acercamiento y el tacto, teniendo en cuenta que aquello contenido en las fronteras, al ser tocado por lo supuesto externo, no volverá a ser igual.
