The Sax International Film Festival, in the province of Alicante, qualifier for the Goya Awards, arises through the initiative of the filmmaker and writer Miguel Herrero Herrero. Since its creation in 2006, the festival has had the support of the Sax City Council and is backed by: Generalitat Valenciana, Miguel Hernández University of Elche (UMH), University of Alicante, (UA), Alicante Provincial Council,... The Traveling School Film Festival (FIFE) is an annual event showcasing cinema, audiovisual media, and digital creation. It is an initiative of the Mboro International Center for Practical Training and the NGO Youth and Development, and relies on the partnership of the Girl Guides and Boy Scouts of Senegal, the Jokkoo Consulting Agency, and several other stakeholders in Senegal and around the world.

To manage the regular organization of the film festival it initiated, an Economic Interest Group (GIE) was established: GIE Les Associés du Film d’École (School Film Associates), whose primary mission is the annual organization of the Traveling School Film Festival, FIFE.

The purpose of this call is to promote, on a competitive basis, an open contest to encourage cultural creation, helping to increase the quality of productions by creators in the audiovisual sector.

At the festival, called “Torrerífico,” the short films must have a horror theme, and the works selected as finalists will be screened, with the winners being announced. In this regard, the audience attending the event will vote for the audience award.

To this end, the Vice-Rectorate for Culture, Sport, and University Extension at the University of Alicante is organizing the Short Film Competition through the Torrevieja University Campus, in collaboration with the Torrevieja City Council's Youth Department and the Torrevieja Alternative Leisure Association.

MACAU INTERNATIONAL SHORT FILM FESTIVAL (“FESTIVAL”) is an annual worldwide audio-visual festival that aims to motivate overseas and Macau short film and music videos productions to compete in this FESTIVAL.
