The Sax International Film Festival, in the province of Alicante, qualifier for the Goya Awards, arises through the initiative of the filmmaker and writer Miguel Herrero Herrero. Since its creation in 2006, the festival has had the support of the Sax City Council and is backed by: Generalitat Valenciana, Miguel Hernández University of Elche (UMH), University of Alicante, (UA), Alicante Provincial Council,... In the festival the best short films and feature film projects compete in competition. countries.

There are three categories in which you can participate:

• Short films themed "THE COURAGE TO BE HAPPY"

The film's subject must aim to raise public awareness of stereotypes, prejudices, and the most common
racist, discriminatory, and homophobic attitudes. The element that will truly make the difference
will be the type of language used to convey the above message; irony, for example!

The “Uhvati film” (Seize the Film) Festival takes place in Novi Sad (Serbia), Rijeka (Croatia) and Kotor (Montenegro).

Through a thematically and artistically distinctive film selection, the festival aims to promote the potential of persons with disabilities, raise public awareness about the challenges they face (with special attention to multiply marginalized groups), and contribute to the advancement of disability rights.

Films selected for the Novi Sad program will enter consideration for screenings in Rijeka and Kotor, as well as for post-production programs (in all countries).

The festival organizers (KAO Parnas – Serbia, Spirit Association – Croatia, NGO Art 365 – Montenegro) will personally contact the authors of the selected films.

The 17th edition of the Puente Genil Film and Short Film Festival, CortogeniAl, will be held in Puente Genil, Córdoba (Spain), from October 9 to 17, 2026.

REQUIREMENTS:

− Short films must have been produced in 2025 or 2026.

− The duration must not exceed 30 minutes.

− Productions not filmed in Spanish must be subtitled in Spanish.
