LUSCA, International Caribbean Fantastic Film Festival (LUSCA) is presented by Puerto Rico Film Academy, Inc. Its main objective is to promote the cinematographic art through the presentation of high quality films. LUSCA is an event that is celebrated in different places in Puerto Rico and lasts fifteen (15) days.
The script must be in one of the genres promoted by the LUSCA Fantastic Film Fest (fantasy, science fiction, comedy, bizarre).

LUSCA Film Fest - Screenplay Contest
BrLab Rough Cut is an intensive workshop for feature films in the editing or post-production stage, aimed at teams from Latin America, the Iberian Peninsula, and Italy. Its goal is to provide personalized guidance from renowned editors to enhance the final cut of fiction films. The 2024 edition will take place in São Paulo from October 4 to 7. Projects must submit a recent cut and be near final editing. Selected films receive Ibermedia grants covering travel, accommodation, and meals for two representatives. The workshop also offers networking opportunities with industry professionals. BrLab Rough Cut has supported internationally awarded films, contributing to the growth and strengthening of the Ibero-American audiovisual industry.

Sykehouse FilmFest is an international film festival dedicated to rewarding filmmakers from all over the world. We are running our next live event on 28th June 2025 with back to back screening of selected entries and an award ceremony at the end of the day to announce the winners.

Sykehouse Film - Writers's Conference
Este taller está diseñado para cualquier persona que tenga un interés por desarrollar una mirada propia y un estilo personal, en volver a la esencia del cine a partir del lenguaje cinematográfico y el hecho fílmico, más allá de la trama o el guion.
Este taller se centra en un cine contemplativo y reflexivo, focalizado en el poder de la imagen y el sonido. Está dirigido a estudiantes de arte, cine, fotografía, audiovisual, amantes del cine y la fotografía, y profesionales y artistas con inquietudes e interés por desarrollar nuevas formas de expresión del lenguaje cinematográfico.

TALLER SLOW CINEMA CON JIAJIE YU YAN
El tema de los guiones es completamente libre y podrá pertenecer a cualquier género. Todas las obras que se presenten deberán ser originales. En caso de que el concursante utilice como base del guión una novela, un cuento o algún texto de otro autor, el concursante deberá incluir en su inscripción la autorización correspondiente del autor de la obra original.
