SANFIC – ODS LAB 2026 is an audiovisual development lab jointly organized by SANFIC Industria and Construir Cine, aimed at producers, directors, and screenwriters from Ibero-America. The call accepts fiction, documentary, and hybrid feature film projects addressing one or more of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the 2030 Agenda. Projects must be at an advanced stage of development and must not have started shooting.

The call is open to applicants over 18 and legal entities residing or registered in Ibero-American countries. The lab will take place entirely online from October 26 to 29, 2026, offering mentoring, training, and guidance in areas such as screenwriting, production, audiences, presentation, and distribution. It will conclude with private pitching sessions with representatives from festivals, funds, production companies, distributors, broadcasters, platforms, and organizations.

The application deadline is August 31, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. Santiago, Chile time.

The 24th Co-Production Meeting of the Guadalajara International Film Festival (FICG) is a Mexican call aimed at Ibero-American feature film projects in development. Applications open on August 10, 2026, and close on October 16, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Central Mexico Time.

The call accepts international projects from Ibero-America in the genres of fiction, documentary, and animation. It is aimed at feature films with an estimated running time of more than 70 minutes that have not yet begun shooting and have at least 20% of their financing secured. The program operates as a co-production meeting that connects selected projects with professionals and potential partners from the international audiovisual industry.

The Meeting will take place in person in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, as part of FICG 42, from March 6 to 13, 2027.

Guadalajara Construye is a call of the Guadalajara International Film Festival in Mexico, aimed at Ibero-American fiction feature films in post-production and at the Work in Progress stage, seeking financing for completion. The call accepts national and international participation.

For the call opened in 2026, the submission period runs from September 2 to November 27, 2026, closing at 11:59 p.m. Central Mexico Time. Selected projects will participate within the framework of FICG 42, which will take place from March 6 to 13, 2027, in Guadalajara and Zapopan, Jalisco, Mexico.

Only fiction feature films in post-production are accepted, with at least a first editing cut and a running time between 70 and 120 minutes.

El 48 se desarrolla en diferentes fines de semana en diferentes ciudades a lo largo del año. En cada ciudad, los equipos de cine locales, desde principiantes hasta profesionales, compiten para hacer un cortometraje en sólo un fin de semana. ¿Tú y tus amigos tenéis lo necesario para hacer una película sobre la marcha?

Todo comienza con el evento inaugural del viernes por la noche, cuando usted y los equipos de su ciudad sacan géneros de un sombrero y reciben los elementos necesarios para su película.

Luego, empieza a correr: escribir, filmar, editar y hacer lo que sea necesario para enviar tu cortometraje el domingo por la noche.

La gran recompensa es ver tu obra maestra en la pantalla grande de un cine local. Se proyectarán todas las películas, tanto puntuales como tardías. No hay nada mejor que ver tu película con el público y ver de primera mano cómo reaccionan ante tu película.

En el evento de premios de la ciudad, se anuncian las películas ganadoras, según lo determinen los jueces locales. Se otorgan más de una docena de premios, desde Mejor Actuación hasta Mejor Dirección y el premio mayor: Mejor Película.

20 LAB – “Ópera de Leyva” Screenplay Pitch will take place in Bogotá and Villa de Leyva, Colombia, from November 12 to 16, 2026. The call is exclusively for Colombian national projects and will accept applications until October 12, 2026; the opening date is not specified. Results will be announced on October 20, 2026.

The laboratory will select seven fiction feature film debut projects. It focuses on project development and pitch preparation through working sessions, group workshops, and personalized mentoring with national and international experts in areas such as development, screenwriting, production, pitching, character, structure, exhibition, and distribution. Screenwriters, directors, and producers with projects that meet the call requirements may participate.
