Simbiosis Inmersiva Lab is an in‑person lab taking place in Valdivia from October 10–13, 2025, within the 32nd Valdivia International Film Festival. It brings together audiovisual creators and scientists to develop immersive projects (VR, AR, MR) that merge science and art, promoting science outreach through new technologies.
Chilean citizens or residents with experience in film, science, or tech can apply. Projects may be early‑stage or in development, with no restriction on genre or narrative, as long as they include scientific content and a clear XR immersive approach.
The program covers local transport, meals, and lodging. Attendance is mandatory. Guidance is provided by renowned mentors.
Applications open until August 14, 2025. Results announced in early September.

AUSTRALES ENCOUNTERS - Fic Valdivia - Development
The 2025 Series Lab call, organized by DETOUR, targets Uruguayan screenwriters, directors, and producers with series projects in development. They seek original series without genre or format restrictions, with a minimum of four episodes and filming planned after October 2025. The lab will take place from October 14 to 18, 2024, in a hybrid format (both in-person and virtual), offering workshops, group sessions, and individual mentoring to strengthen projects. Participants must be fully available during these dates. Awards include the opportunity to pitch at LINKS in Puigcerdà, Catalonia, in 2026, and support for shooting a teaser or pilot. Applicants must be over 18, Uruguayan nationals or legal residents in Uruguay for at least five years. Each participant may submit up to two projects but can only be selected for one. Montevideo Cine LAB - LAB SERIES
The "Desafío en una Toma 2025" call is part of the DETOUR.uy New Film Festival, aimed at Uruguayan audiovisual artists and students aged 18 and over. The goal is to promote comedy short films shot in a single continuous take, with a maximum length of 5 minutes. Works must be filmed between July and September 2025 and submitted in digital format (.MP4 HD). A festival-provided opening slate is mandatory, and permissions are required for filming in public spaces. Entries must be original, not previously screened, nor available online. Submission deadline is September 14, 2025, with finalists announced on September 20 and screening during the festival's 13th edition in October 2025. Bolivia Lab - Rally de Pitch
The CineLab Chile call is an initiative by the Chilean Film Academy in partnership with Netflix to support the development of feature films directed by women or individuals with female gender experience. It is aimed at emerging filmmakers with projects in the first or second stage of development.
Up to eight projects will be selected to receive mentorship, masterclasses, and support to enhance their scripts and production. The call is open until August 20, 2025, with activities starting in October, including virtual sessions and in-person meetings in December, covering expenses for two members per project.
Projects must be fiction feature films with no narrative genre restrictions. Applications are made exclusively through the official site cinelab.cl, where guidelines and forms are available. The program promotes gender equity in the Chilean audiovisual industry by supporting the training and development of emerging filmmakers.
