Scambi is a festival organised by APS Oltre, taking place in the old town of Sanremo from August 26–30, 2026. Conceived by people from all across Italy, it was created to build a journey through squares and alleyways across workshops and encounters.
Dissolvenze is our festival section dedicated to cinema, inviting filmmakers from all over the world to present works related to the theme of each edition.
This year’s theme is RESISTANCE:
Resistance moves through the layers of reality as a silent yet constant presence. In its most essential meaning, it is opposition — friction against a force — but when it encounters the human experience, it becomes something more: a choice, a stance, the will not to yield.
There are gestures that stand apart from dominant systems and narratives, emerging from the margins, often with limited means, in the most difficult contexts, even in territories marked by war. Sometimes the urgency to tell a story surpasses every limit. In this sense, filmmaking becomes an act of bearing witness, of asserting one’s presence, of bringing forth a necessary voice. Through this lens, cinema itself can become a form of resistance, a conscious act.
We welcome works and narratives that resonate with these reflections: human, political, poetic, and personal gestures that portray forms of opposition, testimony, survival, or self-affirmation. We seek visual experiences, both linear and non-linear, capable of engaging with cinematic practice as a conscious and necessary act.
