MIA 2025 is now accepting submissions from producers with development projects in the Animation, Documentary, Drama, and Film categories. Up to 50 international projects will be selected, aiming for co-production, financing, or pre-sale agreements. Eligible projects must be intended for theatrical release, television broadcast, or digital streaming platforms. The submission deadline is June 19, 2025, by 5:00 PM CEST.
Selected projects will participate in the Pitching Forum during the event, held in Rome from October 6 to 10, 2025. They will also be eligible for the MIA Development Awards, each offering a €5,000 cash prize per category.

The Locarno Residency is a program by the Locarno Film Festival supporting emerging filmmakers developing their first feature film. The 2025 call is open until June 3, 2025.
