The La Almunia Film Festival (FESCILA) 2026 opens its Short Film Script Contest, welcoming screenwriters from around the world. The call accepts original and unpublished scripts in Spanish, on any subject, including fiction, animation, and documentary. Submissions can compete in several categories: Open, Youth, Aragonese, Regional, Hispanic-American, and School. Each author may submit up to three scripts, with a maximum length of 20 pages per work.
Applications are open until January 25, 2026, and the 30th edition of the festival will take place from May 9 to 16, 2026, in La Almunia de Doña Godina, Spain. The contest focuses exclusively on literary texts for short films and does not include feature films, series, or project pitches. Participation is international, encouraging a wide range of styles and perspectives. Screenwriting Contest – FESCILA
The FILMS TO COME call of ECAM Forum 2026 targets feature-length projects in development, accepting fiction, documentary, and animation works. It is open to international submissions, allowing creators from any country to participate. Submissions are open until January 27, 2026, and the event will take place from June 9 to 12, 2026 in Madrid, Spain. Projects must have an expected runtime of over 60 minutes and be in the development stage, whether it is a first, second, or third feature. There are no restrictions on cinematic genre, enabling creators to explore diverse narrative styles and hybrid formats.
FILMS TO COME provides filmmakers with the opportunity to present their projects to industry professionals, establishing key connections for international co-production and distribution of their feature films.

ECAM Films to Come
The Speed Meetings at DocsBarcelona are professional networking sessions designed to connect documentary filmmakers with funders, co-producers, and other industry experts. Each meeting lasts approximately 15 minutes, allowing for concise project presentations and strategic connections. The call is open to projects from any country, provided they are documentaries or non-fiction series in development, pre-production, production, or with financing gaps. Short films and completed projects are not accepted.
Applications for the 2025 edition open on December 10, 2024, and close on January 27, 2025, at 23:59 CEST. The meetings will take place in Barcelona from May 12 to 16, 2025, during the intensive sessions of the DocsBarcelona Industry Forum. This initiative aims to provide funding, co-production, and mentorship opportunities, helping participants maximize collaboration and professional growth within the documentary industry.

Speed Meetings - DOCS
Dot.on.the.Map Meeting Point is an industry call that takes place within Dot.on.the.Map Industry Days, as part of the Cyprus Film Days International Festival in Cyprus. It is aimed at feature-length fiction film projects in development and financing stages, with a strong focus on international co-production and professional networking.
The call is open to international projects, mainly from Mediterranean countries across Europe, Africa, and Asia. Eligible projects must have both a director and a producer attached and a maximum budget of two million euros. Only fiction projects are accepted, and completed films are not eligible.
The Meeting Point operates as a co-production and pitching forum, offering project presentations, one-to-one meetings, training activities, and networking opportunities with key film industry professionals. Between six and ten projects are selected to participate on-site.
The submission period runs from December 17, 2025, to January 27, 2026. The Meeting Point will take place in person from April 23 to April 25, 2026.

Dot.on.the.Map Meeting Point – Call for Projects
The Cine en Construcción 45 program will take place on March 26 and 27, 2026 in Toulouse, as part of the Professional Platform of the Cinélatino Festival. This initiative supports Latin American films in post-production, helping them finalize, circulate internationally, and present their work to industry professionals.
Applications are open until January 28, 2026. Six projects will be selected by a dedicated committee, focusing on innovative and diverse works. The main goal of Cine en Construcción is to promote selected feature films to international festivals and markets, fostering connections and collaborations between filmmakers and producers.
The call accepts only feature-length films in fiction, animation, experimental, or hybrid formats, targeting Latin American filmmakers. Since 2002, this program has served as a launchpad for emerging films to reach audiences and strengthen their professional journey, highlighting cultural diversity and fresh perspectives in Latin American cinema.
