The RTVE ABYCINE Talent Award for Best Short Film Project is an initiative by RTVE and the Abycine Foundation to support the production of fiction short films. The prize is €15,000 (VAT included), dedicated to producing the winning film, supervised by RTVE.
Eligible participants are Spanish registered production companies with fiction projects up to 20 minutes long. Projects related to Castilla-La Mancha are especially valued. Each company may submit up to two projects, with a €12 entry fee per project.
The submission deadline is July 30, 2025. Projects must be sent as a single PDF including script, synopsis, director’s statement, shooting plan, budget, financing plan, and additional documents.
Up to 5 projects will be selected to pitch at Abycine Lanza (October 21-24, 2025). The short film will premiere at the 2026 Abycine Festival and be broadcast on RTVE Play. RTVE holds exclusive rights for one year and perpetual broadcast rights.

ABYCINE LAUNCHES – AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL
Impulso WIP 2025, part of Abycine Lanza, is aimed at fiction or non-fiction feature films in advanced post-production, backed by production companies registered with the ICAA. It offers specialized mentoring, meetings with sales agents and distributors, and festival screenings. Additionally, it provides financial support, including a €7,000 post-production grant and the Filmin Prize worth €22,000. Selected projects must present an 18–22 minute cut to audiovisual industry professionals. Participation is free of charge, and the event will take place from October 21 to 24, 2025 in Albacete, with accommodation for two team members per project. Impulso WIP supports innovative works, fosters their distribution, and boosts their market reach.

ABYCINE LANZA – Impulso WIP
The 48 takes place on different weekends in different cities throughout the year. In each city local Film Teams—from beginners to pro's--compete to make a short film in only a weekend! Do you and your friends have what it takes to make a film on the fly?
It all begins with the Friday night Kickoff event when you and teams in your city draw genres out of a hat and receive the required elements for your film.
Then it is off to the races—writing, shooting and editing and doing whatever it takes to submit your short film on Sunday night.
The big payoff is seeing your masterpiece in the big screen at a local theater. Every film, both on-time and late, will screen. There is nothing better than seeing your film with an audience and seeing firsthand how they react to your movie.
At the city awards event, the winning films—as determined by local judges—are announced. More than a dozen awards are given—from Best Acting to Best Directing to the top prize: Best Film.

The 48 Hour Film Project
Impulso CMM Desarrollo 2025, organized by Abycine Lanza with Castilla-La Mancha Media, supports feature film projects (fiction, documentary, or animation) in the development stage. It targets production companies registered with the ICAA, including international co-productions. Up to 20 projects will be selected to participate in training, mentoring, public pitching, one-to-one meetings, and industry networking. Two grants of €17,250 will be awarded to support production linked to Castilla-La Mancha, alongside awards in collaboration with ECAM, Porto/Post/Doc, and Music Library & SFX. The event will take place within Abycine Lanza in Albacete from October 21–24, 2025. Applications are open until July 15, 2025, via Eventival, with a €300 participation fee for selected projects. Attendance of both director and producer is mandatory. Impulso CMM Desarrollo is a strategic opportunity to connect emerging talent with the Spanish and European audiovisual industry, offering visibility, professional advice, and funding for independent projects with international potential.

ABYCINE LANZA – Impulso CMM
TVP has opened submissions for the pitching sessions of the Heart of Europe Forum 2025, which will take place in Warsaw, Poland, from September 30 to October 3, 2025. This call is aimed at filmmakers and TV creators from Central and Eastern Europe, including countries like Poland, Ukraine, Hungary, Romania, and others.
The available categories are fiction film, TV series, and documentary. Projects at any stage of development—from initial concept to near-completion—are welcome. Up to ten projects per category will be selected to present before an international jury and audiovisual industry professionals.
Participation is free, and selected projects will have the chance to showcase their work to producers, distributors, festival representatives, and broadcasters, enhancing opportunities for funding, co-production, and distribution. The submission deadline is June 30, 2025.
This is a valuable opportunity to boost the visibility of regional audiovisual production on the international market and to build important industry connections.
