The EAVE Producers Workshop 2026 is an international professional training program for experienced film, documentary, and television series producers. Its goal is to strengthen coproduction skills and expand participants’ professional networks across Europe and beyond.
The program consists of three week-long residential workshops: the first in Luxembourg, the second in Bolzano, and the third in autumn at a location to be confirmed. During these workshops, participants work in groups with experts in script development, financing, legal aspects, marketing, and project presentation, and present their projects to commissioners, funders, and sales agents from the European industry.
Projects in fiction, documentary, and television series at various development stages, from pre-production to post-production, are accepted. The call is international, open to producers worldwide, with scholarships available for European residents and candidates from other regions, promoting diversity and inclusion. EAVE Producers Workshop
The Fill the Gap Initiative targets animation producers who participated in the Cartoon Forum 2024 and have not yet completed the financing of their projects. Its goal is to provide visibility and networking opportunities to close the financial gap and move projects toward production.
Selected producers must have at least 70% of the budget secured, a committed television channel, and submit a 30 to 45-second trailer to present their project. Participants are also required to attend matchmaking sessions organized during the event.
The initiative includes trailer screenings at the Coffee Show, participation in matchmaking sessions with buyers, sales agents, and potential co-producers, and presence in the Cartoon Forum mobile app. Geographic diversity is encouraged, and preference is given to projects not submitting a new project to the next Cartoon Forum edition.
The trailer submission deadline is August 18, 2025, with presentations on September 18, 2025, in Toulouse, France, during the Cartoon Forum. The initiative aims to help producers finalize financing and connect with strategic partners.

Izaña Lab está diseñado por un equipo que se enfrenta diariamente al reto de hacer cine, que entiende que una película es el resultado de continuos procesos de ensayo y error. Todo el proceso es, en realidad, un laboratorio, donde se prueba, se analiza y se repite el experimento. Cada película es un prototipo, y aunque soñamos con replicar casos de éxito, la realidad nos demuestra que el camino para posicionar en el mercado un producto tan único como una creación cinematográfica, requiere inventar nuevas fórmulas, que encajen para cada caso.

Sunny Side of the Doc 2025 is a leading international market dedicated to documentary and factual content, taking place from June 23 to 26, 2025 in La Rochelle, France. It brings together over 2,000 professionals from 60 countries, including producers, broadcasters, distributors, and digital platforms.
The event features 70+ sessions, thematic pitchings (Science, History, Culture, New Voices, and more), screenings, keynotes, and immersive experiences. It serves as a key venue for networking, co-productions, and global documentary sales.
Delegates, exhibitors, decision-makers, and journalists all take part. National initiatives, like the Canada Pavilion supported by Telefilm Canada, enhance visibility and access to international partnerships.
Held at Espace Encan, just minutes from La Rochelle’s city center, the event also offers free electric boat transport for accredited participants.

Sunny Side of the Doc - Market
La convocatoria “Realizadoras mayores en el cine… por la justicia de género” está dirigida a mujeres mayores de 50 años residentes en Cuba que deseen desarrollar un cortometraje con enfoque de género e interseccionalidad. La iniciativa es impulsada por el Fondo de Población de la ONU en Cuba, el Festival Internacional del Nuevo Cine Latinoamericano y el Proyecto Palomas.
Se ofrece una beca de 10.000 USD para la realización del cortometraje, además de asesoría técnica y acompañamiento creativo. La obra seleccionada se exhibirá en el Festival Internacional del Nuevo Cine Latinoamericano.
Los proyectos pueden ser de ficción o documental, con duración máxima de 15 minutos, y deben abordar temáticas relacionadas con la justicia de género, la autonomía corporal, los derechos humanos, el envejecimiento y la diversidad. La postulación requiere enviar formulario, sinopsis, guion completo, carta de motivación, presupuesto, cronograma y CV de la postulante.
El cierre de postulaciones es el 18 de noviembre de 2025, y la entrega de la obra finalizada será el 30 de octubre de 2026. Esta convocatoria busca fortalecer la voz de las mujeres mayores en el cine cubano, promoviendo la diversidad y la representación justa en el audiovisual.
