JIIFF LAB is a space designed to strengthen fiction feature film projects in the development stage. It is aimed at pairs of novice directors and producers with experience in the film industry from across Ibero-America and Italy. Over the course of four days, participants work to enhance their projects through consulting sessions, mentorships with highly recognized professionals, and networking opportunities aimed at consolidating the realization of their films.

Tres Puertos is a workshop with residency characteristics for feature film projects in the development stage, which throughout its history has had sessions in Argentina, Chile and Mexico. Work is carried out on the one hand around the narrative, aesthetic, thematic and conceptual aspects of the projects, and on the other in the areas linked to production and financing circuits. Tres Puertos does not work from thematic modules, but rather approaches each project from its specificity.

Shortpitch is an activity aimed at the audiovisual short film industry. It is open to directors or production companies operating nationwide (Spain) with a project in the development or pre-production phase, including those that have previously received public and/or private funding.

With the purpose of promoting the development of Mexican cinematographic art and promoting this industry as a point of cultural, artistic, social and economic development in our country, Guillermo del Toro, the Mary Street Jenkins Foundation, the Board of Trustees of the International Film Festival in Guadalajara, A.C. University of Guadalajara (FICG Board) and the Fundación Universidad de Guadalajara A.C. (Convening Entities), invite natural persons of Mexican nationality who wish to study in full-time face-to-face bachelor's or master's programs abroad (basic or specialization), in any field related to cinematography, to participate in the Call for obtain the “Jenkins-del Toro Scholarship”.
