Welcome to the six edition of Diminuto, International Minimal Film Festival, a celebration of short-films.
Diminuto comes from the Latin: extremely small. The minimal cinema is that tiny cinema, but immensely deep; brief, but extensive in possibilities; tiny, but capable of creating endless universes. Because we know that every second is important, this is a celebration of small short films, small projects that leave us with enormous emotions and diverse sensations. That is why we say that: The minimal cinema is the maximum.

The origin of Diminuto is referred to the online workshops: Short films taught in the last year by Aarón Álvarez, the director of the festival. In them, the concept of brevity and the ideology that allows highlighting the creative processes of the authors are promoted. Some works that were part of the Official selection and the Alternative films of the first edition were produced in these workshops.
Complementary to the exhibitions, programming and visualizations, the workshops will be given: Short films, short formats (level 1 and 2), there will be talks and master classes with specialists in cinematography, these activities will be carried out online, they are planned for the attendees and the interested public, seeking to promote new authors. Special online activities will be held for the authors of the winning short films in each category and the honorable mentions.
The tiniest bee hummingbird flits up to five hundred miles in its one continuous flight. Our festival, Hummingbird International Short Film Festival, represents this small bird's ardent determination of transcending boundaries, cooing over the confluences of divergent cultures. Our predominant motto is to seek out vehement, vogue, pertinent short films from across the globe and to showcase the narratives that resonate surpassing geographical lines.
In 2021 - 1st edition, Hummingbird officially collaborated with the British Council and received a BFI Flare package. The festival accepted 150+ films from 30+ countries across the globe. Last year, the festival authorities focused on the LGBTQ category including curated children's films, a few premiers, and a BFI Flare Package but this year they brought more than just one category on the platter.
2nd edition (2022) the film festival has officially partnered with Alliance Française to showcase the best of cinematic narratives for the viewers. It received 200+ films from more than 43 different countries in various categories. The film festival has officially selected 50+ films in exclusive categories including Fiction, LGBTQ+, Animation, Documentary, Video Art, and Human Rights. In 2022 we screened Nauha at the opening which was officially selected at La Cinef of the Cannes Film Festival, 2022. Hummingbird ended with the Clermont Ferrand Special Jury award-winning closing film “La Traction Des Poles” curated by Alliance Française.
Much like the little migratory bird Hummingbird is determined to evolve into a platform for viewers and budding filmmakers. The Hummingbird’s vision is to create a space for all, as the festival founder/ director Rajan Nath said, “The festival’s vision is to strike a rich cultural exchange and give audiences access to global cinema and its subsequent cultural pandora. We also aim to support the representation of indigenous cinema and help young filmmakers understand how international audiences see it.”
HIFF is aware that cinema holds a universal language and that is why they are motivated to provide you with the purest experience of watching global narratives. At our Third edition, we're all set to welcome shorts from all over the world. Bring in your beautiful little wonders.
The All That Moves International Film Festival reaches its 5th edition, reaffirming its commitment to cultural diversity, audiovisual innovation, and the appreciation of independent cinema. With the curatorial approach “New viwes, other Cinemas”, the festival provides a platform for both studio and independent productions that break narrative, stylistic, and cultural barriers, featuring a curated group of films from different genres, nationalities, and styles, reaching a broad and inclusive audience.
Alongside traditional categories such as Best Feature Film, Documentary, Animation, LGBTQIA+, and Horror, the festival also highlights and values diversity in cinema, with awards dedicated to Students, Women in Film, Black Cinema, and Latin American Cinema. Additionally, All That Moves was the first festival in Brazil to introduce an award category dedicated to Artificial Intelligence, reinforcing its commitment to technological advancement and innovation in cinema.

ASSERTING WOMEN'S RIGHTS is a project that emerged from the Festival de Málaga, in collaboration with documentary filmmaker Mabel Lozano and the Equal Opportunities Department of the Malaga City Council, as a tool for protest and advocacy. This section was created with the aim of exploring and addressing issues that raise social awareness about women's rights each year.
Launched in 2008, this section of the Festival de Málaga is now in its 19th edition. The project has a dual purpose: to shed light on the injustices that women continue to face in the 21st century simply because they are women, and to promote and support films created by women.
Through Asserting Women's Rights, we have brought attention to the challenges women face in different parts of the world. Even today, there are many places where women and girls must fight daily for their survival. In these regions, traditional practices and cultural norms often hinder their personal and social development, preventing them from achieving equality with their male counterparts.

In occasion of CTAO exhibition season 2023-2024, CON-TEMPORARY Art Observatorium presents "Art of Freedom - 2nd Edition", a collective art exhibition cycle that will be held at CTAO Exhibition Room in Lavagna, Italy.
FREE THEME: differently from all our group exhibitions, the cycle "Art of Freedom" is characterised by the absence of a leading theme, leaving total freedom to the artists, who are chosen on personality and contents, so that they can freely propose their most personal view, without fear of prejudices or censorship. This does not prevent them to freely take inspiration from freedom and to express in that sense. After all, art IS freedom, and freedom is a value that is always menaced, needing constant attention in order not to lose it.
The Wayuu Film and Video Show was born in 2008 as an initiative of young filmmakers worried about not having spaces for dissemination and exhibition of their work in La Guajira.
Alliances are quickly made between the Wayuu Women's Force Organization and the Jain Wain’juin Audiovisual Foundation (Venezuela).
The young filmmakers David Hernández Palmar, Miguel Iván Ramírez and Leiqui Uriana, with great interest and enthusiasm, show their first cycle of Wayuu cinema on the improvised screens of a wall of the town of Uribia, beginning the Wayuu Culture Festival First cycle of the Wayuu Film and Video Exhibition. Thus, this space was born to promote an exchange where communities, spectators and the general public could contribute critically to the achievements, as well as helping to recognize in us as Wayuu the possibility of telling our own stories.
