INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL OF DOCUMENTARY AND SHORT FILM OF BILBAO
It got started in the year 1.959 and organized by the Cultural Department of Bilbao City Hall, ZINEBI will celebrate its 66th edition from the 8th up to the 15th of November, 2024.
It is the only international Class A festival in Spain in the documentary and short film category recognised by FIAPF since 1974, recognised by the Hollywood Academy as a qualifier for the Oscars among the short films from the official palmares and qualifier as well by the Spanish Academy for the BAFTA Awards and the GOYA Awards.
ZINEBI is a festival which holds all the most current forms and formats, innovative and suggestive and that is making a steady bet for the emerging authors. The line-up of the international schedule (documentary, animation and fiction) and its section ZIFF-ZINEBI FIRST FILM, dedicated to first works, are their really distinguishing mark. Honour Mikeldis are also remarkable, which recognise the prestigious career of distinguising international directors and the strict selections of its sections BEAUTIFUL DOCS, dedicated to the most relevant contemporary features and BERTOKO BEGIRADAK, a section dedicated to the Basque documentary feature films from a recent production. LesGaiCineMad Madrid International LGBTI+ Film Festival is a LGTBI+ Film Festival in seen in Spanish Speaking countries. The inaugural edition was held in 1996. With an estimated audience of more than 10,000 spectators, it is a well attended festival by members of the Community of Madrid and is covered by the Spanish Press.

The Scare-A-Con Film Festival (formerly the B-Movie Film Festival) has been an exciting event in CNY since 1999! We have helped bring exposure to over 10,000 movies, shorts and documentaries from around the world. Many of the movies that have played at our festival have gone on to distribution success with companies like Maverick, Image, Barnholtz, and are available in place like Blockbuster, Best Buy, Netflix, Amazon.com and Walmart. Be a part of the one film festival and horror, sci-fi & fantasy convention that showcases the underdog movies!
The fest is now a part of the Scare-A-Con convention, which brings in hundreds of Hollywood stars like Linda Blair, Tony Todd, Ernie Hudson, Joe Bob Briggs, John Schneider, Doug Bradley, John Russo, C. If we penetrate the meaning of life sometime we feel that there is no such meaning or purpose to life, yes! Sometime, but we must have to give a great meaning or purpose to life to create it more beautiful for the whole world as a one family. for whole humanity or for our next generation.
We are really very small people; please understand what we want to say. But the task or mission which we want to empower is very big. One can understand it by the example of river. The beginning or origin of every river is so small but her consistency with selflessness leads her towards more hugeness.
The cinema festival Fantasmagoria- Festival de Cine Fantástico y de Terror de Medellín - reaches its 6th edition (Curse of the Full Moon – werewolf cinema). Our competition opens to the world and the city of Medellín to explore genre cinema and reflect on these thematic. The festival has several sections of short films and feature films to embrace the fantastic and horror genre spectrum. Also, to consider relevant national and international people who have done significant work to the genre through their filmography.
Short films and feature films will be selected from any nationality, produced in 2023 or 2024 which have yet to be seen in Colombia. The films have to be related to the fantastic genre. They will be exhibited during the festival in Fantasmagoria in October 2024 in Medellín city, Colombia. The film features will compete for the El Cura Sin Cabeza statuette award.
