Our screenings take place at the Bristol Megascreen, a 300-seat cinema, over a 3-day period, providing filmmakers with a premier venue to showcase their work to a large and engaged audience. The Soul Center of Art & History is a community led museum that centers the Black experience across the African Diaspora. It is a cultural hub for the social, political, educational, and creative scholarship that will allow us to apply what we have learned from our past in a way that moves us closer to a more just and equitable future.
The Soul Center does everything that a traditional museum does. We:
-conduct research and disseminate information
-curate exhibits
-host community led workshops/classes
-preserve and display history, art, and culture
We are unique because we:
- are a model for communities of color to steward their own history and culture
- are entirely community led and center lived experience and direct impact
- utilize film and storytelling as a way to continue our oral traditions
- intentionally implement what we learn from the past to advance our community
Our first annual film festival is dedicated to celebrating the creative voices of Black filmmakers. This festival aims to provide a platform for thought-provoking films that shed light on critical social issues (equity, justice, labor, housing, climate change, immigration, and interpersonal relationships).
The Soul Center Film Fest is dedicated to:
1. Showcasing a diverse range of films that tackle social justice issues, from racial equity to environmental justice and beyond.
2. Amplifying the voices and stories of Black and Brown filmmakers, both emerging and established.
3. Encouraging dialogue, collaboration, and action by connecting filmmakers, activists, and audiences.
4. Fostering a space for critical reflection and empathy through the art of storytelling.
The FICTU is a festival that focuses on short films and seeks to connect the audiovisual production of Boyacá with the current national and world cinema.
The festival has 4 competitions which are:

Zed Fest Film Festival & Screenplay Competition was founded to encourage and support independent low and big budget, filmmakers, who work in the horror, suspense, science fiction, drama, action, adventure, and art house genres.
After participating in Zed Fest Film Festival, many of our filmmakers have been able to advance their careers develop their next projects. We take pride in the fact that we are able to maintain relationships with participants, encourage and help them develop and promote their future endeavors.

Zed Fest Film Festival Independent Spirit Award is bestowed each year to a filmmaker that Pursues their filmmaking vision from concept to film.
This award has been inspired by Independent Filmmaking Pioneers Robot Monster (1953) Director Phil Tucker, Jim Jarmusch, John Waters, Elaine May, John Cassavetes, and Penelope Spheeris,Wes Anderson.
These filmmakers followed their passion for filmmaking. They embraced the love of filmmaking as an art form. They used their creativity and ingenuity in their filmmaking and did not let their budget stand in the way of their film projects. That is very inspirational to us and we hope to today's emerging filmmakers.

Our festival is dedicated to celebrating a diverse range of voices and visions that can breathe life into the world of cinema. With 20 distinct film categories, we provide a platform for both emerging and established storytellers to share their unique narratives.
At Voices and Visions, we believe in fostering an inclusive environment that showcases artistry from every corner of the industry, all over the globe. From sci-fi to docu-shorts to horror and beyond, our festival encourages exploration and discovery of the rich tapestry of diverse voices and visions that shape the world of film.
Our Children & Family Friendly section will be presented earlier in the day, separate from the adult offerings. It will be celebrating the voice and vision of film creators under the age of 18, giving them their own unique spotlight.

Dardan Fest is an international film festival with a focus on urbanization, civilization, and development.
This festival provides an opportunity to promote filmmakers across a variety of genres, aligning with Dardan Fest's goals. We will showcase short films and documentaries from the USA, Europe, Asia, Balkans, and other regions.
The featured works are from the past three years or are premieres.

The São Paulo Short Film Festival, also known as Oscar Junior, celebrates its tenth anniversary in 2024. The event is growing and becoming more inclusive, adopting a hybrid format with decentralized online and in-person screenings to reach a diverse audience. Partnerships with cinemas, schools and local associations bring the festival closer to communities.

The Wayuu Film and Video Show was born in 2008 as an initiative of young filmmakers worried about not having spaces for dissemination and exhibition of their work in La Guajira.
Alliances are quickly made between the Wayuu Women's Force Organization and the Jain Wain’juin Audiovisual Foundation (Venezuela).
The young filmmakers David Hernández Palmar, Miguel Iván Ramírez and Leiqui Uriana, with great interest and enthusiasm, show their first cycle of Wayuu cinema on the improvised screens of a wall of the town of Uribia, beginning the Wayuu Culture Festival First cycle of the Wayuu Film and Video Exhibition. Thus, this space was born to promote an exchange where communities, spectators and the general public could contribute critically to the achievements, as well as helping to recognize in us as Wayuu the possibility of telling our own stories.
The Memorable Film Festival is a short films festival dedicated to showing and promoting the creation and dissemination of short films about Alzheimer's disease and its effects on patients and families, as well as its social interest.
The festival is organized by the CIEN Foundation, the Alzheimer Centre of the Queen Sofia Foundation.

At YIFF, filmmakers are invited to the festival to participate in a variety of programs, Q&A sessions and a series of panel discussions, Press Conferences. masterclasses where filmmakers have the opportunity to discuss their work and careers with a new generation of content creators.

CINEMA24 - Córdoba Film Week aims to bring together a wide and varied selection of cinema that is produced from Andalusia, with special attention to the most innovative proposals and emerging filmmakers, having the cordovan capital as a meeting point in order to position itself as the cinematographic event of reference in the cultural agenda of the city and become a meeting point for the state cinematographic sector.
The 3rd Edition of CINEMA24 will take place from November 29 to December 5, 2024.

ESPIELLO, INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL OF ETHNOGRAPHIC DOCUMENTARY is organized by the Service of Culture of the Comarca de Sobrarbe (an institution that it groups to 19 town halls) along with a wide participation of neighbors of the zone who form the Permanent Commission of the festival. It is celebrated during March and April in Boltaña, a small population of the Pyrenees of Huesca (Spain).
Espiello is the only festival with this specialization in the country. It has an international competition of ethnographic documentary and some different sections out of competition and other activities whith topics related to the documentary and the visual anthropology.
The Òmnium Film Festival is an annual program that recognizes and promotes the best audiovisual productions in Catalan, offering audiences the finest Catalan-language cinema of the year with the aim of encouraging greater consumption of films in Catalan.
The festival takes place simultaneously with more than 160 screenings in 90 venues across the Catalan-speaking territories, as well as screenings in 35 cities around the world.
It concludes between March and September with screenings in schools and high schools through the Educational Program, digital platform releases (Filmin and 3Cat), and presence at parallel festivals and showcases such as Sala Montjuïc or the Gaudí Cycle.
In addition, the festival strengthens connections with the industry through training resources, networking opportunities, and professional spaces for promotion and reflection, in collaboration with key industry players such as ICEC, the Catalan Film Academy, and 3Cat.
