The FIRE!! Mostra is the first LGBT film festival in Spain: established in 1995 by Casal Lambda, in Barcelona, it addresses affective diversity in its broadest sense through a careful selection of feature films, documentaries and short films. A selection of art-house cinema and an educational approach are its main characteristics.
Throughout two weeks at the beginning of June - mainly at the French Institute but also at other different indoor or open-air venues in the city -, a wide range of public is invited to enjoy this Barcelona cultural landmark, with stories and testimonials of free people, creators who break barriers and fighters for human rights, all of whom help with love to build a fairer and freer world.
The festival's name is a tribute to the late 20s New York magazine of the same name, FIRE!!, led by the black gay writer Richard Bruce Nugent, portrayed in one of the most iconic films of the festival, Brother to Brother, which we screened a few years ago.
Theatre and drama has been a forte of this winter capital of the Indian state of Maharashtra. Well known personalities like Suresh Bhat, Ram Ganesh Gadkari ,Rajkumar Hirani ,Mahesh Elkunchwar , Gayatri Joshi , Abhijit Kokate , Subhas Ghai , Ketaki mategaonkar , Tejas Prabha Vijay Deosakar , Sanjay Surkar, Vaibhav Tatwadi, Sonu Sood , Ronit Roy and many more have brought laurels to his city.
There are many aspiring actors and upcoming directors for whom such personalities are role models. However, the film industry in Nagpur has not kept pace with the other industries. Though it exists, it is not yet well known.
Through this short film festival we intent to bring the hidden talent not only From Nagpur but from all over the India.

YoFi Microfest is a cousin to YoFiFest, the Yonkers Film Festival.
The Micro Fests were created to bring year round themed screenings and programming that connects audiences to films with specific topics or genres.
The YoFiDMAC (Digital Media Arts Center) is conveniently located in the booming downtown Yonkers waterfront, a 30 minute train ride from midtown Manhattan, along the scenic Hudson River. We draw filmmakers and audiences from New York City, Westchester County and the Lower Hudson Valley, Rockland County, New Jersey, and Connecticut.
Our goal remains the same for the past 25 years, which is to connect in a meaningful way, to learn how to be more impactful to the needs of artists and our greater community. We honour the original vision of the Dreamspeakers founders to be a resource for Aboriginal filmmakers, for directors, scriptwriters, cameramen, technicians, actors, musicians, storytellers, artists and craftspeople. We create more opportunities for Aboriginal youth and make a better impact on arts, culture and our collective identity. And we do it all here in Edmonton.
DICHO Y HECHO PRODUCCIONES SL It is an entity whose corporate purpose is the production of all types of projects, including cinematographic works, as well as the organisation of events, among which the short and feature film festival called Ibicine Ibiza Film Festival stands out, which is planned throughout the year and held between January and April.
Ibicine is a festival that supports emerging national, international and Balearic talent, with the aim of promoting emerging filmmakers and generating links with established talent, placing special importance on short films and rewarding the technical and artistic aspects of these film productions with the Astarté Awards, a statuette created and produced in Ibiza in honour of the Phoenician goddess who left her mark on the island.
In addition to the SOC Official Short Film Section, the festival features Parallel Sections, as well as the SOL Official Feature Film Section and projects in development thanks to the Ibiza Film Market industry conferences held as part of the festival, to promote professional cinema on the island, creating a meeting point with the national and international industry to generate and strengthen relationships within the sector: creators, producers, platforms, buyers, etc.
All these activities come together in Ibiza as a setting for synergies, new projects and learning, with the signing of contracts and the generation of business for the film industry. And they are linked to their environment, their professionals and their audience.
Ibicine has been selected by UNESCO as the festival representing Spain in the Movie Travel film tourism routes, has received recognition from the Consell d'Eivissa, has been awarded the Business Excellence Award for Best Festival in the Balearic Islands by Acquisition International magazine and the 2023 Hospitality Award for Festival of the Year by LUXlife magazine.
Since 2022, the Festival has collaborated with the Spanish Film Academy, forming part of the list of festivals that give access to the Goya Awards in the categories of Fiction, Animation and Documentary, in this 9th edition for the Goya Awards, being the only festival in the Balearic Islands with this award.
This means that the fiction, animation and documentary short films awarded the Astarté for best fiction short film and the Astarté for best documentary short film will be directly eligible for the pre-selection of nominations for the Goya Awards. The short films selected in the Official National Section of Ibicine may be included in the list of nominees for the Goya Awards if, in addition to this selection, they are selected by six other festivals collaborating with the Academy. ***

CORE International Film Festival is an event dedicated to finding the coolest short films out in the world. We're set on selecting short films that make us say "wow" and giving others a chance to see this incredible content for themselves. We're a collective of filmmakers working in the industry, and we're looking to expand our network with you! To give you a chance to screen your work with us, and network to form a connection within the film industry for yourself.
With that, we've also officially partnered with SMG Media, which will allow all of our curated short films to be eligible for a distribution deal. In short, this partnership is designed to help filmmakers earn revenue through short film distribution with Shami Media Group, if they're interested.
Our main goal is to shed light onto creations that deserve it, and to form connections between cool creators in the film world. We want independent filmmakers to get some of the recognition that they deserve. We want to bring you new opportunities to find like-minded individuals to enjoy your work, and potentially work with professionally in the future.
Officially selected films will be added to the CORE Featured Creators Catalog, where they will hold a permanent place to celebrate their achievement in excellence forever.
With that, of course, the selected films will be screened live at the Boston Premiere for the CORE International Film Festival 2020. The screening night will be a formal networking mixer followed by the official premiere and awards ceremony.
The CORE International Film Festival selections will be judged and decided on by experienced, award-winning independent filmmakers working in the industry. With that, the screening will have industry guest speakers in attendance to present awards to our filmmakers. So whether you're officially selected or not, the festival will be a blast all around!

The deadline for applying to Kinodot competition is February 28. The entry fee is $10. Kinodot is an independent festival (so far, knock on wood) and the submission fees are our only source of funding.
By submitting the film to Kinodot Competition the copyright owners agree that, if selected, the film will be screened up to 4 times during the festival and up to 2 more times in the next two years during non-commercial promotional Kinodot screenings.
You can submit your film to Kinodot at Festhome.
The History
Kinodot was launched in 2012 as online minimalist short film festival at kinodot.com. In time the project has developed into independent international experimental film festival with live screenings in movie theaters and unconventional venues in St. Petersburg, Russia.
Originally films submitted to Kinodot had to match at least one of the four selection criteria*:
No Money - films made without a budget;
No Mumbling - films without dialogue or narration;
No Music - films without a music score;
No Montage - films made without editing, i.e. filmed in one shot.
*It’s no longer a requirement, rather a tribute to tradition. Yet in general we still give preference to minimalist films.
Kinodot was created to support and distribute new experimental films, and to inspire filmmakers to experiment in their own way. We promote freedom of ideas, formalism, simplicity and self-restriction as oppose to the secondary film production and self-censorship of high budget festivals. We believe that a great film can be created with very basic means, without special education or expensive equipment. We also believe that creating and following a strict set of formal rules can have a liberating effect on every artist.
