The SILK SCREEN Film Festival is home to many diverse feature length films. For over ten years,we have grown into a community of sharing art from film, dance, and music. As our upcoming festival season begins, Silk Screen is now accepting films that are Asian influenced – made by or about Asia, Asians, or Asian-Americans.
SILK SCREEN will accept feature length and short films. SILK SCREEN defines Asian films as originating from any country east of the Bosphorus to Japan. This would include Turkey and Middle Eastern countries, Israel and of course India, China, Korea and Japan. The films must be recent, finished no earlier than January 2014.

One of the greatest festival in the world to help filmmakers find a market to support their aims with people attending that can give good solid advice to work with established film industry professionals if you wish, screening, meetings, networking, world famous international awards ceremony, at the same time as Cannes International film festival, in 2018, what we have created over the years is a unique festival with our other festivals a real platform for filmmakers to meet, network, do business festival week.
This year 2018 in Nice at the festival we gave three deals to filmmakers to make there future productions of 100,000 dollars each, we will be allocating up to 5 a year in 2019/20 enter to get a chance at this budget
We have built a small but exceptional professional network of industry professional that will look at all films entered and will give business and commercial advice, in some cases the distributors attending will make offers to the filmmakers for their work and to work together to put your movies in the market place, we have the people and skills in our professional team to make this happen, if the professional attending feel there is a market for your movie, they will as with many films over the years of our other festival make it happen.

The CINALFAMA FILM OBSERVATORY, held in a historic neighborhood, emerges as a transformative cultural initiative that strengthens the community network. By showing independent films, the project not only widens access to alternative and innovative narratives but also stimulates cultural engagement among residents, fostering a sense of identity and belonging.
This regular event, which takes place at Museu do Fado Auditorium, becomes a meeting point where generations cross paths, sharing experiences and reflections that transcend mere film viewing. In addition, by being located in a neighborhood with a rich historical heritage, the observatory revitalizes the urban space, attracting visitors and enhancing the appreciation of the local heritage, generating a very positive cultural dynamic
The Cinalfama Film Observatory is a regular cinema competition in January, April, and October.
The winning films of each of the three editions (Jan, Apr, Oct), will be showcased in our annual outdoor cinema event, Cinalfama Lisbon International Film Festival, in July 2025.

Experimental Forum is an international performance, film and video art festival showcasing experimental film and artists’ moving image from new directors and innovative video artists from around the globe, with the third edition taking place in Los Angeles in November 2018. Our aim is to provide a supportive platform for the exciting and challenging work that is outside the scope of mainstream film festivals and art galleries.
We welcome experimental cinema pieces (abstract, narrative or documentary), video art works, essay films, artists’ moving image and media art, as well as documentary and narrative films that seek to expand, redefine or reconfigure the means and ends of their respective fields. Experimental Forum exists to provide access to, and develop audiences for, artists’ moving image work and is committed to engaging local audiences with new and/or unheard voices in film.
We are particularly interested in works made by early stage filmmakers and artists whose work is underrepresented. We provide a collaborative platform for moving image works made for the gallery and for the cinema with the aim of building a community across disciplinary and institutional faultlines.
This festival only admits submissions from SPANISH NATIONALS. No film-makers from any other nationality will be allowed to submit their films to this festival.

Music, in Cinema, is obviously a soundtrack which defines the identity of the film; but it can also be the main theme of the story: from fictions to biopics, from documentaries to musicals. The Festival aims to explore the new talents of cinema who consider Music as a fundamental element of Cinema.
INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION for FEATURE FILMS.
Main event of the Festival, it will screen the best international films for artistic research, Italian premieres of all genres, related to Music: fictions, documentaries, musicals and biopics.
INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION for SHORTS. A selection of 15 short films of all genres, related to Music: fictions, documentaries, musicals and biopics.
SPECIAL EVENTS. This section will screen works by celebrated film-makers and by the protagonists of the musical scene, in national premiere.
SATELLITE EVENT: the festival every year proposes a live film-concert of classic films performed by the best contemporary music groups.
PANORAMA on the new trends of international cinema in the last 10 years, all films unreleased in Italy.

The International “Festival International du Film Panafricain” (FIFP) in Cannes is a platform that exhibits cinema and its professions, arts and entrepreneurship, as well as innovation, culture and events.
The FIFP was created and founded by Mr. Eitel Basile NGANGUE EBELLE and the “Association Nord Sud Développement, agréée jeunesse et Education Populaire Ministère de la santé, de la jeunesse et des sports n° 06514”.
As a driving force behind the PanAfrican Cinema and Arts industry, the Festival is constantly seeking specific solutions for the development of PanAfrican Cinema and Arts.
With a booming Pan-African market (from Africa to the Americas through the Caribbean, Europe and Asia), the Festival benefits from expertise in the development of cinema and Fashion as well as the development of cultural affairs.
Since its creation in 2006, the DIKALO AWARDS (meaning « message » in the Cameroonian language Douala) has been awarded by a professional jury for the best short and feature films (fiction), the best long and short documentaries, the Dikalos Peace Award, as well as the best actor and actress awards.
The FIFP is a felt moment. It is a unique experience where PanAfrican cinema and African cultures and those of its diaspora around the world are the central focus. An exceptional energy is felt.
Since 2018, the FIFP in Cannes has included along with its projections, a market: the Entrepreneurship Salon for Culture and Well-Being. The objective is to enhance the economy of PanAfrican cinema.
A few years from now, the market which features pan-African arts will generate considerable sums. « Tomorrow is now ». This enormous potential must be brought forward into the light.
Such an “active dream” is an ideal that has made Africans and their diaspora what it is today. This was Mandela’s and Obama’s vehicle, as well as many others…
Pan-Africanism is an aggregate of universalism. It contains all of the lights, those of ancient Egypt and those of the future. In short, a constant beauty.
ONLY GALICIAN SHORT FILMS
Short films only: under 30 minutes.
Submitted films must have been completed after 2017 and 2018 and they must also be Galician. This means they must have been either produced by companies or people from Galicia, directed by a Galician director.
Music videos must be Galician too. It means they must be either related to a song from a Galician musician or directed by a Galician author.
LA Underground Film Forum (LAUFF) is dedicated exclusively to independent, experimental, and auteur cinema. It focus on avant-garde, art-house, independent and no/low budget filmmaking.
Our program provides a venue for filmmakers to reinvent and explore new approaches, to foster new forms of media art and to build an audience for such work. We aim to present a wide range of work exploring the many definitions and interpretations of the concept of “underground”.
We’re looking for films made with passion, obsession and drive; films that go beyond expectations and genre; films, video and audio projects that strive to push the boundaries of accepted form and content. A strong sense of authorship is a must.
LAUFF accepts all forms and genres: from drama, documentary, experimental, cult, art-house, foreign language, comedy, horror, sci-fi, fantasy, animation, LGBT, indigenous, erotica to slow cinema and video art …
Since 1997 this prestigious competition has showcased the works of the next generation of filmmakers. 12 to 25 short films will be selected by our panel of industry judges and shown in the Roger Ebert Conference Center at The American Pavilion to invited guests attending The Festival. It's a festival within a festival at the most important event on the international film calendar. Short Films, Short Documentaries, Student Documentaries, Student Films and LGBTQ films accepted from current undergraduate or graduate school students and emerging filmmakers up to three years post graduation. Films must be completed in 2017, 2018 or 2019.

Welcome back Filmmaker to the 9° edition!!
After the great success of the latest edition, submissions to the eighth edition of FilmmakerDay are now open.
The event is taking place in October 2023 in the wonderful setting of Turin, a city that has become one of the undisputed centres of the art of cinema. FilmmakerDay summons many authors from every corner of the world, as well as a wide audience of cinema lovers.
A great number of high-quality films have taken part in FilmmakerDay. Among them: News Neighbors by Bayley, directly from Sundance Film Festival; A Gentle Night by Qiu Yang, winner of Cannes Palme d'Or; In the Hills by Hamid Ahmadi, an official selection at Toronto International Film Festival.
The ninth edition of FILMMAKER DAY is now organized by the Systemout Association and ArtInMovimento Association as an event whose intention is to give value to filmmakers’ creativity.
This festival is dedicated to short and feature films of any genre and runtime. There are no rules or limitations.
The ninth edition of Filmmaker Day is taking place in Turin, at the end of october 2023, at the prestigious " Cinema Baretti".
The event derives from the need of giving space and visibility to films coming from all over the world.
Apart from the Best Film, ArtInMovimento Magazine and Italia Che Cambia, two magazines that are both Media Partner of the event, will also give special attention to the most deserving films.

This festival is also an opportunity for mentors to look into and compare with other schools and production companies.
