Il nostro 17° Another Hole in the Head Film Festival si svolgerà dal 29 novembre al 13 dicembre 2020, al New People Cinema di San Francisco.
Con questo festival, cerchiamo orizzonti più ampi di quelli consentiti dalla nostra designazione originale di genere. Tutti gli stili di film indipendenti sono invitati a competere. Che si tratti di una grande produzione di una società professionale, di un film studentesco o di un lavoro d'amore micro-budget, ci impegniamo a dare a ogni film la dovuta considerazione.
Siamo situati in una città molto ricettiva per il cinema, e abbiamo costruito un seguito appassionato nel corso degli anni. Il 2020 segnerà il nostro 17° anno tra i festival più votati al mondo, e stiamo ancora crescendo!
San Francisco è il secondo mercato cinematografico più grande del paese e una grande piattaforma promozionale per i registi indie che stanno cercando di far uscire il loro film nel mondo. Molti film proiettati al nostro festival attirano l'attenzione di altri festival cinematografici e broker cinematografici. Inoltre, i film e il festival sono recensiti da alcuni dei migliori player del settore, come Variety, The San Francisco Chronicle, Dread Central, Bloody Disgusting, Twitch e Way Too Indie, solo per citarne alcuni.
La nostra «casa teatrale» è New People Cinema a Japantown di San Francisco. Un locale sotterraneo da 143 posti situato nel New People Building, il Cinema è dotato di proiezione digitale HD all'avanguardia, proiezione di film da 35 mm e sistema audio certificato THX®. New People Cinema ospita numerosi festival cinematografici locali, tra cui il San Francisco International Film Festival, il CAAMFest, il Green Film Festival e il Japan Film Festival di San Francisco.
L'obiettivo di questo QF Festival è fornire uno spazio per la proiezione di cinema di qualità, sostenendo al contempo produzioni i cui temi centrali sono la diversità sessuale e la difesa dei diritti umani della comunità LGBT +. Allo stesso tempo, questo evento crea un luogo di incontro per tutti coloro che sono coinvolti nella produzione di questo tipo di cinema, nonché per le persone che desiderano fare lo stesso in futuro o sono interessate ai suddetti argomenti. Questo festival apre le porte in modo che sia le persone coinvolte nel processo creativo che le persone interessate possano condividere le proprie esperienze e unire le forze proiettando film e scambiando idee ed esperienze, indipendentemente dal loro paese di origine.
Le proiezioni del London International Student Film Festival a Londra forniranno visibilità e pubblicità ai nuovi registi.
Ci saranno anche opportunità di networking e apprendimento professionali.
I vincitori saranno annunciati durante il festival.
Il festival è iniziato nel 2016 ed è stato proiettato per la prima volta alla Southbank University di Londra.

We are happy to announce the Third Edition of Documentary, Animation and Short film festival, which will be held in the desert city of Rajasthan, Bikaner from 1-2 September 2018. The Acharya Tulsi Short Film Festival (ATSFF) will use the power of film makers to further the cause of Peace, Harmony, Social justice, Meditation, Social taboo and Environment on earth. From the outset, the ATSFF envisioned “peace” not as the absence of conflict but as a framework for channelizing, processing and resolving conflicts through respectful and non-violent means.The ATSFF, the primary project of Acharya Tulsi Shanti Pratishthan, is a non-profit festival established to celebrate and encourage the work of independent filmmakers from around the country on the theme of peace, harmony, social justice, meditation, social taboo and environment. ATSFF aims to contribute towards culture of peace, non-violence, harmony, social justice, meditation through cinema, dialogue and programming highlighting the individuals on the vanguard of peace activism and social change.ATSFF works to connect expression – artistic, political, social and personal – to positive, respectful vehicles for action and change. The past two editions of SEAFF have been held at Zita and Rio, two of Stockholms oldest and finest cinemas. SEAFF enriches and provides Stockholm and Scandinavia with a piece of the great diversity of ambitious and qualitative films made internationally.
The festival has been given attention in both Swedish and international press and has been supported by the cultural department of Stockholm City and by the Art Grant Committee in Sweden.
The purpose and goal with SEAFF is to draw attention to filmmakers who through their versatility, artistic originality and creativity leave an unique impression on the art of film!

Amal è un evento cinematografico culturale di riferimento, che si svolge ogni anno dal 2003. La sua prima edizione è stata concepita come una vetrina audiovisiva e, dopo il suo successo, nel 2005 ha fatto un ulteriore passo avanti diventando un festival competitivo internazionale; il primo e unico festival del cinema euro-arabo in Europa all'epoca. Cine Sinú Audiovisual Festival is an event developed to promote and disseminate the National Audiovisual Production and Local . Emerges as a collective concern of search spaces for the dissemination of works and generate the interaction between artists and the community at large , in order to strengthen the audiovisual culture in the Department of Cordoba, Colombia .
GUIAR is the first festival created in Pernambuco with audiovisual online shows. The event will take place during five days and will feature international videodance films in competitive and non-competitive shows , as well as workshops, and live and online performance presentations.
The event was created from the annoyance of André Aguiar with the lack of public access to dance performances. "The challenge of inspiring people through the dance is greater because it is an ephemeral and face-to-face language. But through the audiovisual, this cultural expression can be appreciated at any time by people in different parts of the world, thanks to digital technologies and the internet", comments Aguiar.
The use of the Internet is also a key point for the event decentralization and to guarantee popular participation. On one of the days of the Festival, the audience will choose the film that will be screened, through voting by social networks. To make the event even more accessible, there will also be audiodescription, translators and subtitles in Portuguese and English.

Quarta edizione CENTRAL-DOC, Blackbird Films e Huitzil Multidisciplinary Creation Laboratory A.C. si svolgono dal 2 al 6 dicembre 2019 nello stato di Tlaxcala, Messico. Le opere saranno proiettate in spazi pubblici, indipendenti, istituzioni educative e centri culturali, essendo questi locali, nazionali o internazionali.
Questa quarta edizione della Mostra è accompagnata dal tema CULTURA, IDENTITÀ E RESISTENZA... 500 ANNI FA. Un tema che cerca di rendere visibile ma soprattutto di rivendicare il ruolo delle popolazioni indigene attraverso i diversi documentari che compongono questa edizione e che sono destinati a ruotarsi su temi particolari come le origini, le tradizioni, il territorio, la lingua, i diritti, tra molti altri. Al CENTRAL-DOC ci aspettiamo documentari con storie che ci permettono di mettere in discussione e valorizzare ciò che ci rende ciò che siamo, da dove veniamo e quali sono le nostre radici.
Il Fantafestival (Mostra Internazionale del Film di Fantascienza e del Fantastico) è un festival cinematografico dedicato ai film di fantascienza, fantasy e horror che si tiene ogni anno in Italia dal 1981.
Il Fantafestival si svolge ogni anno a Roma. Negli anni passati, pur mantenendo la sede a Roma, alcune edizioni si sono svolte in contemporanea in diverse città italiane come Milano, Napoli, Genova, Verona, Parma e Ravenna.

Universal Marathi has invited short film entries from professionals and students across the globe for the three-day annual My Mumbai International Short Film Festival in its sixth edition scheduled to be held in 2nd week of October 2018.
