The Kashmir International Film Festival is a not-to-profit, non-commercial & Kashmir’s only independent film festival, established in the year 2016 in Bandipora Kashmir with a mission to celebrate the cinema & work of aspiring, young, independent & professional filmmakers. Its aim is to recognize the enlightening, entertaining & progressive new age cinema of youth & experienced filmmakers.
Founded by the Wular Trust Bandipora, Kashmir International Film Festival-16 provides chance to filmmakers to showcase their creativity. While the festival is open to filmmakers of all age, we feel that just as it is imperative that we should support and encourage participation by filmmaking community members & professional, it is also important that we find and cultivate the future members of this creative industry.
The purpose of this film festival is to promote new movie makers, exchange of knowledge, information, ideas & culture between different nations in context of their social and cultural ethos. KIFF also promotes friendship and co-operation among people of the world through the medium of films & documentaries.

During this "Road Map Film Festival" many other public screenings in various nice cities and locations are included. We need many months (like 4/6 months) to select the best creative talented visionary audiovisual change makers (from the launch of the Premiere Screening Party to Winner Award Celebration Party) .
We get our time (nobody is on a rush in our team) to discover not only the real story behind the film, but also who is the filmmaker. So the film festival team follows a scheduled selection process with detailed communication techniques, with the main focus not only to better enhance the creative talent of each filmmaker, but also to help the filmmaker launch the best positive message to a worldwide audience.
And obviously all awarded films are published in the special online section called the "Hall of Fame".
This is a long lasting section where the profile of the filmmaker is promoted with the winner awarded film, during the special event called "The Dream Machine".
The Social Machinery Film Festival is focused on the promotion of alternative audiovisual film productions across the globe.

Entries requirements:
-> All films must have been made in or after 2012 and have English subtitles (unless English is the main language spoken); A creation date does not apply in case of the screen writings from being stopped for submissions, but the submitted must be in English or have a copy translated in English;
-> We accept shorts, documentaries, animations, experimental, music videos, web and new media, commercials (all specified previously under 45 minutes); feature films and feature documentaries (any length, 45 + minutes);
->A description between 50 and 150 words;
->Trailer (not required for movies under 7 minutes; optional) and the film must be submitted as an on-line screener (Vimeo preferred) which may be embedded on the website for visitors to see your creation; you can further opt for modifications in your entry;

THEME: Works will be accepted whose aesthetic and thematic proposal refer to the cultural identity of the places of origin of the filmmakers, providing entertainment and cultural knowledge for the audience.
