STATEMENT OF REASONS
The "Locos por el Cine" Association announces its Second Short Film Competition, aimed at promoting and introducing new authors to the audiovisual sector.
Our purpose is to stimulate and foster cinematic creativity as a form of cultural expression.
Drag Me To Fest is the independent horror film festival that lights up Milan with a unique and immersive program and takes place at the end of November. Founded in November 2021 through the collaboration between Joe Godoy Gonzalez, Art Director and creator of the horror website Non Aprite Questo Blog, and filmmaker Chiara Natalini, the festival is a shining beacon for horror lovers—an event that has become a unique point of reference for fans, filmmakers, collectors, and the entire Italian horror community, ready to drag you straight into horror.
Located in the heart of Milan, at WAO Romolo C30, Drag Me To Fest offers a celebration of independent horror cinema in a 480-square-meter space designed to host screenings, talks, and special activities in a single, atmospheric home for horror. With the aim of rediscovering and enhancing the collective experience of cinema, the festival creates a unique environment where the magic of the big screen is shared and enjoyed live. This partnership, strongly supported by WAO, seeks to open new and thriving horizons for culture and cinematic meeting spaces in the city of Milan.
Drag Me To Fest collaborates with sponsors and partners such as Midnight Factory (a label of Plaion Pictures), WAO, Taboo, Rustblade Records, Vagin Lover, Horror Park, Fulci, Mostro Production, Bloodbuster, Horror Italia 24, Horror Dipendenza, and Nocturno Cinema.
Drag Me To Fest is much more than just a festival: it is a celebration of creativity and innovation within the horror film landscape. If you are passionate about horror movies and want to discover the latest trends in the genre in a stimulating atmosphere, don’t miss the chance to take part in this unmissable event.
Our prize is the audience
Since its birth, Drag Me To Fest has embraced an ideology that abolishes the concept of awards—a system that pushes cinema to be seen more as a competition than as a “place” of intellectual and emotional encounter. This does not mean that we do not believe in the pursuit of quality, and for this reason we always work to guarantee a careful selection of the films that can access our festival. But we want to remove the idea of assigning hierarchical value to works and avoid rhetorical thank-yous and self-celebration, focusing instead on giving visibility to the entire crew and to the stories that led to the completion of each film. The only “prize” we aim to guarantee through our work is a high-quality audience.
Films taking part in the festival may be selected to be included in a DVD-format anthology distributed worldwide.

India is a land of art and cultural heritage and it is spread in various forms in our society whether it's dance, drama, music, films, painting, sports, etc. Being a global enterprise, Indian Cinema (Bollywood) is a remarkable example of our cultural diversity and it has the greatest influence on India's national identity. We always celebrate our art and one of the best ways is to do so is film festivals. There are many film festivals in Asia where filmmakers and film lovers alike can celebrate the best and the brightest. We are adding one more precious feather to it and that’s the BOLLYWOOD INTERNATIONAL FILMFESTIVAL (BIFF).
Launched in January 2020, Bollywood International Film Festival – BIFF Mumbai is founded by some of the best-known actors, directors and film professionals. BIFF Mumbai intends to provide a place that connects the film lovers and makers around the world.
The purpose of this film festival is to promote new film makers, looking to get publicity for their films, exchange of knowledge, information, ideas, the culture of India and other nations in the context of their social and cultural ethos.
The festival will host various forums for academic interactions on filmmaking, film appreciation like seminars, workshops, masterclasses etc., for the benefit of film professionals, discerning audience and students on different aspects of cinema.
We invite filmmakers, people from the film fraternity, film critics, journalists, discerning cineastes from amongst the general public & International and National film Institutes; distribution agencies/organizations, to witness the glorious start of BIFF. We sincerely hope the film lovers will utilize this opportunity to enrol as delegates and enjoy the contemporary world cinema and the classics.
The Raul Ruiz School Film Festival has been progressively positioned in its three previous versions as the first experimental school film festival in the country, with an increasing reach in different regions of the country. This is a positive indicator of the impact that this initiative has had. In this sense, the described initiative has become a recognized window of diffusion for school cinematographic art. In addition, the possibilities of artistic exploration that the festival suggests through its categories and evaluation criteria have enabled the production teams to investigate and experiment with different film languages. In this sense, the new challenges that the festival offers in its third version are, on the one hand, to continue and strengthen the diffusion and appreciation of school cinema and, on the other, to advance in aesthetic reflection and exploration, as integral contributions to education, with an emphasis on creativity, the generation of projects and the experimentation of artistic languages.
This is why the IV Raul Ruiz School Film Festival is an opportunity to broaden the creative horizons of the diffusion of art and audiovisual culture in educational communities, promoting a creative framework through instances that aim to improve the quality of artistic teaching and to address the interests, social, cultural and economic contributions of the communities.
UNESCO is clear in pointing out that the objectives of development and improvement in the quality of education must be accompanied by a substantial change in the area of social development of the establishments. Educational improvement projects (PME) cannot always advance comprehensively towards the financing of instances for the diffusion, appreciation and creation of inter-school artistic projects.
In accordance with the achievement of these objectives, the Festival in its previous versions has been adding relevant actors from the educational and academic community. Today we are supported by the Schools to Film program of the Cineteca Nacional and the Sarmiento Ruiz Archive (letters of support are attached). Those who have joined have opened and strongly promoted the possibilities of this festival at a national level and with a strong content in experimentation, creativity and collaborative work in the field of learning for girls, boys and adolescents.
In this sense, the prospects have been auspicious, having as a background that in the first and second version we have been accompanied by the application of more than 80 films from all over Chile and the world.
“ZERO cinema” is an artisanal and experimental artistic approach that contrasts the assembly line of industrial film production; it is hyper-independent, produced or auto-produced by single artists or small groups (less than 10 people) with no commercial interests; it is made with common and easily accessible, or innovative and low cost, means of production.
“ZERO cinema” has a different attitude, adventurous or poetic, DIY or punk, anarchic or self-sufficient, to the video work; it speaks with a personal, intimate, courageous and autonomous voice.
“ZERO cinema” is, more than any other thing, a strong idea of cinema and artistic production.

The association promotes and pursues exclusively the goal of promoting human, civil, cultural, and social solidarity, which are grounded in the principles of the Italian Constitution.
The association focuses its attention specifically and primarily on:
The development of the human personality in all its expressions and the removal of obstacles that impede the implementation of the principles of freedom, equality, equal social dignity, and equal opportunity, promoting the right to health, social protection, education, culture, training, and sport, as well as the enhancement of professional skills and abilities; and the promotion of welcome and hospitality for individuals, adults or minors, Italian or foreign, with disabilities, marginalization, and/or social vulnerability, including in conjunction with the proposed public or private entities.
To promote the leisure time of disabled and marginalized individuals, through educational and community initiatives of a cultural, sports-recreational, and social nature aimed at preventing hardship and/or deviance (e.g., festivals, shows, stays, weekly meetings at the headquarters, Sunday outings, peace education, ecological and environmental protection initiatives, etc.).
The association also provides, based on additional availability, the following initiatives, listed by way of example:
• study and research services, management of information, multimedia, and social spaces, including in prisons and detention centers for adults and minors;
• support and initiatives for any cultural activity (exhibitions, conferences, and events), music videos, theater, and cinema, physical expression and gymnastics, amateur and recreational sports activities, nutrition education, and the provision of food and beverages, including for a fee or contribution;
• promotion and implementation of any cultural activity (exhibitions, conferences, and events), music videos, theater, and cinema, physical expression and gymnastics, amateur and recreational sports activities, nutrition education, and the provision of food and beverages, including for a fee or contribution;
• Community-based hospitality, including non-hotel accommodations, for social tourism purposes, aimed at socially marginalized individuals and their families and/or associations.
The PIANETA EMPATIA Association, committed to developing proposals that promote cultural opportunities in the region, sees cinema as a vehicle through which a region can initiate a process of cultural growth capable of triggering development mechanisms in conjunction with the region's activities.
In this case, the region is the splendid reality of Sardinia and its beaches, places rich in natural oases, ancient ruins, and breathtaking views, as well as a generous food and wine offering.
The festival's goal is to foster international competitiveness through attractiveness, a theme that concerns regions not only for what they are but also for how they can be developed and communicated. A region is social value, value of exchange, and value of experiences, but also cultural value and economic value.
And the theme of exchange between economy, experience, and culture is what drove us to focus on these territories, which, located in this splendid geographical area, can spread the culture of cinema as a privileged meeting place for the histories of distant countries and peoples, fostering the rapprochement of different cultures.
The Coliseum International Film Festival is a fundamental resource for the film industry as it not only contributes significantly to the cultural, economic, and social development of the region in which it is held, but also constitutes an essential link in the film industry ecosystem.
The Coliseum International Film Festival has multiple missions:
• it promotes awareness and dissemination of international cinema in all its forms as art, entertainment, and industry, in a spirit of freedom, equality, and equal opportunity;
• it offers filmmakers broader recognition for their work, spreading word of mouth
among critics, film buffs, and audiences;
• it discovers new talent and helps structure emerging production areas;
• it creates business opportunities for films that have not yet secured agreements for commercial exploitation or for specific territories.
COLIFFE can be considered a GREEN FESTIVAL in many ways, from Sustainable Mobility (the locations are always located near subway and/or train stops, which are recommended to guests, along with electric vehicles and car sharing) to Sustainable Energy Consumption (in-person locations, the goal is to reduce energy consumption, reducing lighting to the bare minimum and setting the heating system to the lowest level for comfort), and from Printing Materials (digital formats are preferred for communication, information, and promotion of the event, or printed press materials).
From Waste Management (separate waste collection at numerous collection points and easily recognizable and visible bins) to Guest Management (only digital train and subway tickets are offered, and hotels are certified by Travelife or Green Globe), from Food Sustainability (local DOCG wines, water and soft drinks on tap, no food waste, local seasonal products, washable tableware, and certified tissue paper napkins) to Environmental Culture and Social Sustainability (sponsors who share and support the festival's sustainability values and suppliers with a certified Environmental Management System, selected locations free of architectural barriers and accessible to people with disabilities and special needs, promotion of gender equality and the full participation of all individuals, and valorization of the local area), all the way to Training and Communication (staff adequately trained in environmental sustainability and the conduct policies adopted by management, and communication of the festival's environmental and eco-sustainable policies).
The festival invites all participants, in every capacity and role, to pay particular attention to adopting green behaviors.

From the creators of the Depth of Field International Film Festival, Docs Without Borders Film Festival, and the WRPN.tv Women’s International Film Festival (among a few other successful festivals) and, under the umbrella of the WRPN.tv Network we bring you the Hispanic International Film Festival (HIFF)
To ensure that each screenplay or film is read, studied, and rated individually,
HIFF has instituted a system in which entries do not compete against each other but are recognized for their merits.
They compete against themselves: each entry is judged on its merits and scored according to an inherent value system.
When it is your turn to be evaluated, the judges focus on your screenplay, not on all the other screenplays in the cue. This ensures that they won't have comparisons going on in their minds when they should focus entirely on you.

Utsav – Celebration or Festival
We have started this LGBTQ+ & Independent Film Festival for cinema lovers. This film festival will be a celebration of creativity and ideas. After a successful completion of the first edition of the festival, we are now ready for the second edition.
LGBTQ+ cinema globally as well as in India has become an important part of the film industry. OTT platforms have increased the reach of these films to a larger audience. Of course, these avenues are mostly for mainstream cinema and filmmakers. There are a lot of independent film makers who also have interesting stories to present. We hope that this festival will be a platform for these independent film makers and their wonderful stories.
Each film has various components – story, script, cinematography, editing, sound, music, acting – to name a few. In this festival, we wish to acknowledge all aspects of film making and creativity. Thus, we hope that film makers will be encouraged to submit their work to showcase any or all aspects of their creativity.
Not all film makers, particularly independent filmmakers, and students, have the luxury of large budgets and wonderful locations for filming. We appreciate these limitations and would like to provide a platform to these filmmakers. We would encourage first time filmmakers who would like to present their work to submit to the festival.
It is also important to learn from each other’s experiences. During the festival, we hope to have panel discussions with filmmakers, writers, editors, sound engineers, cinematographers, musicians, and audience as well. This healthy exchange will enrich the experience.
The first two days of festival will be for LGBTQ+ cinema, and the next two days will be for other independent films in this edition of the festival.
Come be a part of this ‘UTSAV’!
The FICAH MEXICO will be held annually and its main objectives are to promote and promote the production, completion and exhibition of independent cinematographic works.
