"Andimotion – Bogotá Animation Film Festival" is one of Colombia's and the central region's film festivals specialized in animation as a hybrid form. It creates a platform for the best projects of graduate students and offers opportunities to connect with the animation industry.
Since its first edition in 2016, ANDIMOTION has consistently provided a platform for screening and awarding animated projects across various media, including video games and mixed realities.
LUCES CAMEROS ACCION is a short film festival with two sections.
1 – “Rural World" Section
International section of short films in Spanish or Spanish subtitles.
Recorded in villages in rural areas or dealing with rural idiosyncrasies.
Made after January 1, 2023.
2 – “Cameros" Section
The works submitted will be original pieces that are not accessible through Internet.
With 30% of the "footage" recorded in recognizable places of Cameros (New and old Cameros located in La Rioja Spain).

Bendita Tú is an International Film Festival based in Argentina and Spain dedicated to showcasing short films made by women, trans, and non-binary individuals.
The festival is a space for the dissemination of experimental, essayistic, and non-fiction audiovisual works with a formally and conceptually committed proposal, addressing gender perspectives and diversity of identities. We select films that allow for the exploration of non-hegemonic, situated, and embodied approaches, creating bonds between people from different countries through intersectional feminism.
The objective is to showcase emerging audiovisual pieces and debut works that, due to their limited opportunities for exhibition and distribution, remain invisible. At the same time, we promote dialogues between these works and those of established female directors, focusing on intergenerational relationships and the importance of genealogies in the world of cinema.
In this VII Edition, water is a form of resistance and revolution, manifested through audiovisual creation. Throughout history, various authors have used this powerful transparent medium as a symbol of strength. For example, Gloria Anzaldúa describes the river as an element that challenges oppressive structures and represents the fluidity of identities and cultures. Bell Hooks considered water as a metaphor for transformation and resilience, in relation to the experience of being a black woman in the United States. Judith Butler interprets this liquid as an icon of fluidity and resistance to binary gender norms.
Therefore, alongside these authors, we reclaim this vital element as an ally, a refuge where we can feel safe and from which we can express our ideas and imagine other possible futures. This year, the tide rises and propels us towards a political record that demands change. For this reason, we seek works that surpass the limits of the audiovisual medium, vibrant creations that convey the need for a challenging, fluid, and collective existence.
EDITA is a festival of short films for social transformation that aims, through audiovisual creation, to increase critical capacity, involve citizens in the promotion of rights and make viewers feel called and challenged to action for social change.
With this event, ASAD wants to get to know and disseminate new social imaginaries, look from other perspectives and approach non-hegemonic proposals that are committed to gender equality, cultural diversity and climate action.
This event is committed to cultural promotion and the diversity of artistic expressions while raising awareness and mobilisation on social issues and the 2030 Agenda in the communities. It is constituted as an itinerant edition seeking social participation in rural areas.

EBROCORTO, the international festival of musical short films, will celebrate its seventh edition in 2024 in Miranda de Ebro.
The Festival offers, through the selected works, a different way of enjoying music.

The Esseoesse Cultural Association announces the competition "CortoDino Film Festival Dino De Laurentiis 2024 - XIV Edition", a competition that stems from desire to remember and celebrate, in his native land and in commemorative and propositive terms, the figure and work of Dino De Laurentis. The Aguilar de Campoo Short Film Festival is consolidated as one of the most veteran and relevant film citations in our country in its genre. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts of Spain, includes it as one of the key festivals for the selection of short films that will compete in the Goya Awards. Throughout the last editions the festival has been making important decisions that commit it to the cinema of our country. In his thirteenth edition he published his manifesto where he exhibited his philosophy and commitment to film. He made the decision to pay for selection to the selected short films thus eliminating economic competition in order to encourage artistic creation and production. Its screening rooms are open to international cinema including all genres, fiction, documentary animation and experimental cinema. In 2016 the festival received recognition from the AIC (Short Film Industry Association). This certificate is an annual distinction to differentiate and reward festivals that perform an exemplary role in the dissemination, protection and professionalization of cinema and its industry, and especially of the short film. This is the first time this certification has been granted and is the result of more than a year of work tables and conversations with festivals, filmmakers and other professionals from across the country in order to develop a guide to good behaviors towards the short film and its creators. The basic objectives of this distinction are to educate new generations of filmmakers and protect model festivals, recognizing their dedication and rigor. We seek the encounter and exchange between professionals and the public as a form of cultural enrichment.
Hello there,
Coronavirus and the Covid-19 disease changed the world in so many different ways. For the last two years — 2021 and 2022 — we had our festival online, which was a new experience for us. It all went well, and instead of a small audience at one venue, we had the audience around the world! That was one big benefit, but we missed having people together, and talk about the films and make new friends.
Due to the uncertainty of the pandemic, we are still unsure of holding the 18th edition of the Free Spirit Film Festival (2022) at certain venue like in the past. If gathering still remains as an issue, we will host it online again.
If the pandemic situation changes, and we could hold the festival at certain venue, we will announce when and where once we have those finalised. Submissions will be opened in June.

The ACCIONS 3E Non-Profit Cultural Association is convening and organizing the 29th SUNCINE International Environmental Film Festival, to be held on November 2-10, 2023.
SUNCINE, formerly known as FICMA, was first held in 1993 and is positioned as the oldest Environmental Film Festival in the world; it is a reference in its genre.
SUNCINE is a multi-screen festival (in-person, online and televised). Its primary objective is to promote, disseminate and publicize environmental audiovisual works to raise awareness about the state of the environment, biodiversity and the planet’s sustainability.
Feelmotion UDIT International Short Film Festival is a shortfilm festival for university students organized by UDIT University in Madrid.
Originally conceived as a film festival for university students, the festival celebrates its first edition in 2012, born from the initiative of the students and Raúl San Julián, director of the festival and professor at UDIT. Since then the festival has celebrated a total of twelve editions, with more than 3000 participating short films from over 50 universities in 33 countries around the world and a total of more than 5000 university students who have participated or collaborated with the festival.
Thanks to the support of our partners, our finalists have been able to use Feelmotion to give themselves momentum and reach such important festivals as the San Sebastian International Film Festival, the New York International Independent Film & Video Fest or the 3D Wire.
Among the outstanding participants are our alumni Diego Porral, nominated for the Goya Award for Best Animated Short Film 2018 for "Un día en el parque" which was selected as Best Feelmotion Short Film 2017 and currently has more than 40 awards and 200 nominations; and José Herrera, winner of the Goya Award for Best Animated Short Film 2019 for "Cazatalentos".
In each of its editions, Feelmotion has relied on a large team of professionals and volunteers from the student body to organize both the contest and its corresponding awards gala and the numerous thematic events of each edition. In total, more than 200 students from different UDIT grades have collaborated with their efforts to make Feelmotion happen.
Feelmotion has also counted on great professionals from the film industry to be part of the juries that each year choose the winners. Professionals such as directors and screenwriters Juan Carlos Rulfo, Borja Cobeaga, Paco Martínez Velasco, Hector Hercé, María Pérez Sanz or Alex Rodrigo; producers and academics Marichu Corugedo, Txepe Lara, José Nolla; actors Tristan Ulloa, Natalie Poza, Olivia Molina, Ana Arias or Jon Viar among others; and a long list of journalists, technicians, academics, etc.
MIFF (from English acronym for Milan International Film Festival), nicknamed by the press as the "Milanese Sundance", has been recognized and distinguished as the official International Cinema exhibition festival of Milan. MIFF existed as a conventional film festival for 10 years, until 2010, when MIFF reinvented itself as MIFF Awards, a brand new genre in the sphere of film events that featured an avant-garde format pointed at the best of the best through a tough Winner category's selection.
