Media affirmation association “MAT” (in further text: The Association) is non-governmental and non-profit voluntary association, founded for an indefinite period of time due to media affirmation of all social segments via audio-video material making, press articles and web presentation making. One of the aims of the Association is the organization of festivals which, due to their content, contribute the development of culture. From 2016. one of the organized festivals is International festival of short movies and photography, called “Short cut”.
The Association for Media Affirmation "Mat" from Indjija, has announced a competition for the ninth edition of the International Short Film and photographs Festival "Short cut" Indjija 2024. Short feature, documentary and animated films are shown at the festival. The festival is open to films by domestic authors, as well as to authors from all over the world. The topics of the films should be in the field of: ecology, tourism and life. The public call for authors of short films lasts from May 17 to 31, 2024. Received films are reviewed by a selection committee that will not consider films that contain offensive or aggressive messages or content.
The International Short Film and Photography Festival "Short cut" Indjija will be held on August 30, 2024. The festival screens short feature, documentary and animated films on the theme of ecology, tourism and life. The festival is open not only for the movies made by native authors, but also for the authors from all over the world. The following program consists of the photography exhibition (the theme is “Objective(s)”),which is a competitive nature too, and will be realized from August 30 to September 5, 2024.
COMPETITION FOR PHOTOGRAPHY
The Short Cut Festival organizers organize an exhibition of photographs titled “Objective(s)” in the accompanying program, inviting all interested people to participate in the exhibition, photographs with personal information and contact send on shortcutfest @ gmail.com with an indication for a photo contest “Short cut”, from 17 to 31 May 2024. Photo authors for the competition can send a maximum of 10 photos, the size of the longer page of acceptable digital photos cannot be less than 3,000 pixels, the file type can only be jpg, ie. jpeg and the maximum file size must not exceed 20MB.
An exhibition of selected photographs for the competition will be held from August 30. to September 5., 2024.

The "Corto di sera" Festival takes place in August in Itala, in the province of Messina since 2012.
Participation to the Festival is free and open to all Italians and foreign authors, single filmmakers orcollectives/associations.
- The Festival is exclusively dedicated to short films that last less than 25minutes.
- Any genre will be accepted (documentary, fiction, classic and/or digital animation)
- All foreign works shot in any language which is not Italian must be subtitled in Italian . Non-subtitled foreign short films will not be selected.
- Each author may submit up to a maximum of three works.
- The organizers reserve the possibility to create additional sections.

The festival began in 2016 as a series of independent animation screenings from around the world, curated in a 4-day celebration of the medium. Open World is organized by the Alternative Gallery, a non-profit community art space, and is run 100% by volunteers.
The Alternative Gallery is located in Allentown, PA within the Cigar Factory Artist studios, featuring; exhibit & performance spaces, over 40 artist studios, a printshop, wood shop, darkroom, film archive, makerspace, classrooms & more. The 19th Edition of SHORTS MEXICO will be held from September 1st through the 30th 2024 in Mexico City. The National Cinematheque of Mexico is the main venue of the festival, and it amounts other important venues as CINEMEX Theaters, one of the largest cinema chains in the world, world famous Vasconcelos Library, Centro Cultural Universitario de la UNAM, CDMX´s Faros and Cultural Centers, etc. The festival amounts over 35 venues in Mexico City and holds exhibitions in every one of the 32 States of the Mexican Republic, so the event truly occurs throughout Mexico. Since the pandemic, SHORTS MÉXICO is presented in a hybrid format, holding virtual and televised exhibitions as well, having over 1 million spectators per edition.
Throughout the year the festival features previews, exhibitions, retrospectives and master classes. The Shorts Mexico Tour includes cities, towns and villages of Mexico, as well as exhibitions in various countries around the world. All the selected films will be given a certificate of participation in México International Short Film Festival - Shorts México. The Mexican short films selected in any competition of the festival will be able to submit their short film to the Ariel prize of the AMACC (Mexican Academy of Cinematographic Arts and Sciences).
MI PRIMER FESTIVAL (MY FIRST FESTIVAL) - International film festival for children, Barcelona & Madrid - 17th edition: from November 9 to December 1, 2024
"Mi Primer Festival" is an International film festival for children from 2 to 12 years. My First Film Festival features over 100 films in a total of 21 screenings. In short, MPF is a film extravaganza that showcases both different techniques and formats and the creativity of artists from all around the world.
The international competition of SHORT FILMS for children will include 3 programmes:
- International Short Competition for children over 2 years old
- International Short Competition for children over 4 years old
- International Short Competition for children over 7 years old
The international competition of FEATURE FILMS will include one programme of films, with a maximum of 8 titles.
The festival will take place in November simultaneously in Barcelona and Madrid and is a great opportunity for boys and girls from 2 to 12 years old to discover unique and unprecedented cinema.
The festival also programs films that have not been created specifically for children, which is why it encourages film directors as well as distributors to present their works even if they have not been conceived for this audience profile. Younger viewers rise to the challenge, and the introductions and discussions that accompany viewings provide a good context for understanding and enjoying the films.
After the good acceptance obtained in the XII previous editions of the festival of short films 4' SHORT ... and to continue with the idea and intention and opportunity to accommodate the different areas of artistic expression, Alcorac 1,968 Cultural Association invites all those who wish to participate in " THE XII INTERNATIONAL SHORT FILM FESTIVAL SHORT 4' ... At B-Retina Festival we want to become a platform for B-Movies of all kinds, from guerrilla trash cinema to unclassifiable cult masterpieces; therefore, emergent talents, consecrated artists and difficult to classify characters will show us how they understand and see the world around us using their inventiveness and boldness.

Possibility of hosting the directors and Actors of the Films
The XV Film Festival: Childhood and Adolescence -2024, is a festival with spaces for circulation and audiovisual training for children, adolescents and young people, with exhibitions, recreational activities, workshops, panels and discussions, whose main objective is to promote Bogota as a pioneer city in Latin America in terms of a visible, protagonist and full of rights childhood and adolescence through audiovisual construction. Participation is free of charge to the activities of exhibition and circulation of audiovisual content.
The Contest will be held from September 7 to 13, 2024.
Children and adolescents will have access to an audiovisual program made up of national and international animation and fiction short films, television series and the "FESTICINE AWARD" category, which is given to audiovisuals made by Colombian children. They will be accompanied by playful activities of reflection on the thematic axis: "TERRITORIES OF KNOWLEDGE, BIODIVERSITY AND INCLUSION THROUGH FILM".
The deadline to register for the XXIII International Short Film Festival “El Pecado 2024” is open. This year we increased the amount of the prizes: 1,500 euros for the winning fiction short film and 700 euros for the other four main prizes. The deadline to register is from Monday, April 8 to Friday, May 31 of this year. The duration will not exceed 20 minutes (21 including credits). If it has spoken sound, Spanish or subtitles in this language will be used.

The Bogota International Documentary Film Festival (MIDBO), organized by Colombia’s Documentary Filmmakers Guild ALADOS, is a non-fiction cinema specialized event that throughout the last 24 years has been consolidated in Colombia and Latin America as a fundamental space of the exhibition, dialogue, and thinking around non-fiction audiovisual.
Regarding the 26 MIDBO, we would like to invite local and Ibero-American filmmakers and producers to submit their audiovisual works to our 2024 call for films and to participate in the varied formative and debate spaces that will take place virtually and on-site throughout the festival.

This year the 26th edition of MIDBO will take place from October 29 to November 4 in Bogotá, Colombia. During the year, MIDBO will screen several films in different regions around the country and maintain the MIDBO-ALADOS Tuesday slot in different allied theaters.
After 25 editions, MIDBO continues to work towards hosting an event that fosters belief and trust in reflection on documentary filmmaking and the diverse approaches to portraying reality. Our main interest lies in exploring the myriad ways of capturing the world. Committed to unraveling the complexities of a reality that surpasses us, we strive each year to create an ideal space for collective engagement with documentary filmmaking.
In 2024, we remain dedicated to fostering creativity and acknowledging the efforts of filmmakers. Hence, we will feature two competitive sections: one national and the other Ibero-American. In these sections, we will present awards for the Best National Documentary, encompassing both short and feature-length films, and the Best Ibero-American Documentary Feature Film, focusing on films over 60 minutes in length produced in Ibero-America. The jury for each competition will be announced one month prior to the event and will consist of three (3) artists, filmmakers, writers, critics, or cultural managers from Colombia and around the world.
