SALERNO INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL

Salerno, Italy

1. ORGANIZATION
The Salerno International Film Festival, with its registered office in Salerno, at Via Portacatena n.° 51 - 84121 Salerno (SA), Tax Code 80046160653, was founded in 1946 by CINECLUB SALERNO. For several years, a non-profit Organizing Committee has been established to manage the annual Editions.

2. OBJECTIVES AND AIMS
Since its inception, the Salerno International Film Festival has been a competitive event for Italian and international productions, offering a continuous forum for discussion on the developments of world cinema.

The Festival assigns cinema an important social function, and its purpose is to constantly adapt its approach to the evolution of technologies and new "audiovisual" media.

The Festival fulfills its original task of film dissemination and literacy, consistent with its tradition, with a particular focus on independent works and technical-artistic innovation.

3. FESTIVAL PROGRAM AND SCHEDULE
The 79th Salerno International Film Festival will take place in the City of Salerno from November 24th to 29th, 2025, at the Cine - Teatro Augusteo.

In addition to the Competitions for the various Film Sections, the Festival also features Reviews, Retrospectives and collateral activities (Exhibitions, Conferences, Round Tables, etc.), as a contribution to the dissemination of the History of Italian and International Cinema.

During the closing night on November 29th, 2025, awards will be presented to the winning films, and recognitions will be given to prominent figures in the artistic, social and cultural fields. The Awards Ceremony may also be divided into two specific evenings: one dedicated to “Specialized Cinematography” (documentaries, cartoons, etc.) and another dedicated to Feature Films and various recognitions.

The screening of the films will take place at the Cine – Teatro Augusteo and will be scheduled at the discretion of the Festival Direction, based on the submission date of the films and their prior selection.
Both the collateral events and the awards ceremony will be streamed live on the Festival’s official social media channels.

The festival's theme will be "Waves from the Future". Every era sends visions, background noises, distant echoes: waves that pass through us and speak to us even before they are understood. Some carry clear messages, others are distorted, ambiguous, elusive. But they all tell something about the world that is and the world that is to come.

What is the future communicating to us today?

What visions, themes, and narratives are already emerging in our present?

What do we perceive in a time marked by crisis, mutations, and hyper-technologies?

We invite authors and directors to capture, translate, and resonate with the waves coming from what is not yet.

Whether it's a near or distant future, collective or intimate; a dystopia, a hope, a question. We want to hear the beat of hidden stories, of faint signals, of innovative visions that will be the light of tomorrow.

The "Waves from the Future" theme will be given preference for selection purposes but is not binding: it represents a field of possibilities, an open wave.

3. BIS. VOD PLATFORM
To broaden the distribution of submitted films, the Salerno International Film Festival provides a dedicated VOD platform, active from October 15th to 31th, 2025.

During this period, both selected and non-selected films will be available for online viewing and voting, offering all participants an opportunity for visibility and the chance to compete for the Audience Award.

Viewing and voting on the platform require prior registration. Uploaded films cannot be downloaded.

Filmmakers who do not wish to make their film available on the VOD platform may still enter the competition: their film will still be reviewed and evaluated by the official jury.

Prague Film Awards

Prague, Czech Republic

We welcome you to the Third Edition of Prague Film Awards - a two-day celebration of quality independent filmmaking, awards, and industry events in front of a live audience of film critics, enthusiasts and producers. Join us for two memorable nights of screenings, networking and red-carpet treatment.

Prague Film Awards, now in its second edition, was born out of a desire to create a welcoming space where international cinema and Czech filmmaking can meet and enrich each other. After our hugely successful, sold-out first edition in January 2018 and January 2019, we will be returning to Kino Atlas in Prague, January 2021.

We believe quality filmmaking should be celebrated and awarded, regardless of the budget. This is why our dedicated team of international programmers focus on creating the most diverse screening selection. Why our nominated filmmakers are guests of honor. Why seeing and hearing the audience react to your cinematic work is just one of the many ways your work is being rewarded.

We are passionate about supporting up-and-coming directors, producers and actors, and providing them with worthwhile, memorable screening experiences. These include Q&As with filmmakers, industry roundtables, and audience awards.

▶ We are accepting submissions for a number of categories and are open to all languages, as long as films in a language other than English are subtitled in English. All submissions must come through Festhome ◀

Prague Film Awards is run in association with Close:Up, a collection of international film festivals supporting indie filmmaking. By establishing a working network among filmmakers, producers and marketing professionals, we share one common goal: to forge productive and lasting relationships between independent filmmakers and audiences.

We are now open for submissions for our 2021 event!

12th. Children's Audiovisual Festival (FICAIJ), 2021-2022
Venezuela-Colombia

The Children's Audiovisual Festival, known by its acronym FICAIJ, was born in Mérida, Venezuela, in 2010, and has consolidated itself after 12 years as one of the most important windows for exhibiting quality educational and alternative content as well as commercial content for children, adolescents, youth and families in the country and the region.

After having attended to more than 41,385 participants in its 11 previous editions which have impacted directly in 6 countries of the world. Facing the panorama of pandemic that we are still living through the COVID-19, we assumed the challenge of transforming ourselves and activating our 12th edition in the web with main incidence in the countries of our region. Additionally, we are planning to have some in-person screenings in Venezuela and Colombia.

History:
More than 1,506 short and long films from 81 countries around the world were broadcast on FICAIJ's screens, and more than 392 people, including children, adolescents, young people and adults, evaluated and judged these films.

Our jurors came not only from Venezuela but also from 9 other countries: Argentina, Brazil, Cuba, Ecuador, Italy, Kenya, Mexico, Spain, and South Africa, participating in representation of their places of origin.

Philosophy:
We promote audiovisuals from a reflective and productive viewpoint, inviting children, adolescents and young people to take an active role as creators and prosumers.

Mission:
FICAIJ seeks to encourage the creation, production, exhibition and distribution of quality content for and by children, adolescents and young people in the region, stimulating the protagonism of children in all these processes.

2nd. Laboratorio FICAIJ:
With the double purpose of strengthening, on the one hand, the production of children, youth and family contents at a regional level, and on the other hand, the training of teachers in education with and for media, a more evident need in view of the digital education imposed by the pandemic, the organization of FICAIJ assumes the challenge of developing the 2nd. edition of its Laboratorio FICAIJ, a training space aimed at the sector of production of contents for Latin American boys and girls and at the sector of education.

Cinema on the Bayou Film Festival

Lafayette, United States

Located in the heart of Cajun country, the annual eight-day Cinema on the Bayou Film Festival is an international, juried film festival dedicated to presenting narrative, documentary, animated and experimental films and filmmakers with truly original voices in one of the friendliest, most unique cultures in the world. COTB is also committed to promoting both established and emerging filmmakers and the relationship-building that is crucial to their continued work. The dedication and commitment of COTB in this regard continue regardless of the pandemic -- we will have a juried 2022 Festival, which we expect to be in person.

Cinema on the Bayou, Louisiana's second oldest film festival, was founded in 2006 in Lafayette, Louisiana, by filmmaker Pat Mire after Hurricane Katrina caused the cancellation of the New Orleans Film Festival in the fall of 2005. Pat was contacted by the National Film Board of Canada, which offered a U.S. premiere of the documentary MAROON, by famed Quebecois filmmaker Andre Gladu, which was originally scheduled to premiere in New Orleans. Cinema on the Bayou was launched in response, and Gladu and his film opened the inaugural Festival. Pat continues to serve as Artistic Director of the Festival.

Since 2006, Cinema on the Bayou has presented hundreds of internationally acclaimed documentary, narrative fiction, animated and experimental films, with filmmakers in attendance from across the United States and around the world. The Festival is now unique among film festivals in the U.S. in that it also regularly screens a large number of French-language independent films and presents filmmakers from throughout the Francophone world. The Festival also has the distinction among film festivals of having given the Audience Award to Moonbot Studio's animated film THE FANTASTIC FLYING BOOKS OF MR. MORRIS LESSMORE one year before the film was nominated for and won an Academy Award in the animated short category.

In 2021, the Festival was held virtually due to the pandemic. We screened over 140 films from across the United States and from around the world, including World, U.S. and Louisiana Premieres of narrative, documentary animated and experimental films. Included within the official selections were more than 40 French-language films.

Filmmakers, actors, producers and other industry professional and film fans participated virtually from throughout the United States and across Canada, including Toronto, Vancouver, Winnipeg, Montreal, Moncton, Quebec City, New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia, as well as from Puerto Rico, England, Frand, Germany, Finland, Switzerland, Spain, Albania, greece, Australia and Japan. Judges participated from Shreveport, Baton Rouge and Breaux Bridge, Louisiana; Austin, Denver, Brooklyn, Montreal, Quebec City and Paris. At our virtual awards ceremony, the Festival awarded 22 goujon caille (spotted catfish) awards.

Cinema on the Bayou has been selected as the Editors' Choice for "goings-on in the South and beyond" by Garden and Gun Magazine. Describing our Cajun Country setting as a "stew of French, Spanish, and African influences," the Editors concluded that it was an ideal spot for Cinema on the Bayou, an international film festival "charged with exposing attendees to the most original voices in film while fostering cultural exchange among the French-speaking peoples of the world."

Cinema on the Bayou also made the list of the Top 15 Winter Film Festivals in the U.S. by AudNews, an on-line magazine for filmmakers and film lovers.

Over the years, the Festival also has earned the respect of its many loyal filmmaker alums who come from around the world to share in the joie de vivre that defines the culture here. It says a lot about the festival that these highly talented independent filmmakers not only make repeat visits to Cinema on the Bayou, but also recommend the Festival to their filmmaker colleagues.

Cinema on the Bayou also has partnered with several independent film distribution companies in the United States and Canada, whose representatives attend the Festival, in order to facilitate relationships designed to provide opportunities for filmmakers to reach wider, more diverse audiences.

The Festival is committed to creating these essential connections amid exquisite Cajun cuisine, amazing local music performances, and thought-provoking discussions, both on expert panels and at after-hours parties, about all that is near and dear to that creature known as the independent filmmaker.
