Montevideo Fantastic Film Festival is the first Uruguayan festival dedicated to promoting national and international film productions related to horror, fantasy and science fiction genres. Its objective is to annually present independent and ultra-independent creations that are often considered "minor", and that hardly access commercial and cultural circuits.
It has sections related to short and long feature films in competition, as well as exhibitions, tributes to different figures of the genre, lectures presented by specialists, and promotion of different cultural activities that occur in the country.
The Montevideo Fantastic Film Festival has been declared of Cultural Interest by the Ministry of Education and Culture, of Municipal Interest by the Intendance of Montevideo, and of Tourist Interest by the Ministry of Tourism in Uruguay.
It was screened in the Punta del Este International Film Festival, LatinUy Film Festival ("Cinema Fantasy" section, in La Barra), Piriápolis de Película International Film Festival ("FantaPiria" section), as well as in several foreign genre festivals like 'Buenos Aires Rojo Sangre' from Argentina; 'Brasilia International Fantastic Film Festival' from Brazil; 'FIXIÓN Fest' from Chile and 'Zinema Zombie Fest' from Colombia.
At Corrosivo Film Fest, we are determined to give genre cinema the place it deserves in a country where an increasingly larger audience is open to everything that cinema from the other side of the spectrum has to offer. With this fourth edition, Corrosivo Film Fest consolidates itself as a space for those who enjoy genre cinema with popcorn on the big screen.
Our goal is to bring followers of the dark, bloody, and fantastic closer to new proposals that are not shown in commercial movie theaters, films that wander through the shadows of the best festivals to be exhibited in our country, at an event that everyone will remember.
Welcome to this festival, and let’s share together the love we have for these other stories through films, screenings, and activities.
The IV International Devotional Film Festival will take place between August 8 and 11, 2025 and the call for entries will be open until July 5.
The Festival aims to carry out a ritual, a bridge, between the spectators and the audiovisual works that seek, through the expressive possibilities of cinema, to understand reverence and fervor, questioning devotion as a way of being in the world. We understand devotion as a surrender, mystical or not, to an experience, an idea, a thing, a thought, a person, an object, everything is susceptible to devotion.
We clarify, as fundamental, that this festival, under no point of view, will be a participant in any propaganda and that it does not subscribe with any religious or other group.

Sound and Music Film Festival Makedonska 21 is taking place in an old Belgrade building dating back to early 20tth century (1928), which is situated on Makedonska 21 street. This was the building of the strongest workers union at the time, founded to promote highly respected values of mutual respect and solidarity. After the Second World War the premises were used by Radio Belgrade as the location of Studio 10, which was the home of most significant radio dramas and music records. This place was responsible for introducing the art of sound to Belgrade listeners and making it an essential part of their cultural heritage, proving itself to be of an immeasurable artistic, cultural, and social significance.
Today, the building is a blend of residential and commercial units. Relying on the building’s rich history, their residents decided to give something in return and contribute to its tradition by starting a film festival that celebrates the art of film music and sound design.
The festival is intended to be a professional networking platform for anyone coming from these fields –film composers, sound designers, sound recordist, music producers, musicians, music bands, to name a few, in order to give them the opportunity to explore, learn, exchange their knowledge and unite ideas.
The festival welcomes films of all categories – documentary films, short fiction films, experimental films, animated films, of all genres, as long as they are commited to creative use of their soundscape.
The bulding premises alow this event to spread its sound magic on various stages simoultaneously – from the monumental hall with great acoustics, and music store Metropolis located on the ground floor, all the way to the roof top, where people can enjoy films and live music over drinks under the vast Belgrade sky.
The third edition of Pila Audiovisual Festival (FAP) produced by the Municipality of Pila, under the organization of the Municipal Cinema Theater "Padre Adolfo Anastasio", will be held in person in that city, from August 22 to 25, 2024.
This festival aims to stimulate and facilitate meetings between members of the cinematography, promote the exhibition, production and reflection on audiovisual production in our locality, generate zonal ties, and present films of all genres, accompanied by their representatives, to
contribute to the development of culture and the progress and dissemination of the audiovisual industry.
“Accussì” was born from the broader idea of creating (in the future) a real Festival “for the eyes”, dedicated to the beauty of “local” territories, of spaces such as towns and villages that often experience dynamics of abandonment, and which instead in this project they become the theater of various types of performing arts, and primarily of a series of short films. The objective is to make the area of Giampilieri, sadly known in the news due to the floods in Messina in 2009, a place in which to welcome and talk about the beauty of cinema, without abandoning themes and contexts of a more "local" dimension .
The greatest ambition connected to this festival of short films is that it represents the beginning of a process of territorial valorisation where the central theme will always be the cultural redevelopment of the Village: a festival of short films "to begin with", a "Festival For Occhi" in all respects in the coming years, an event where cinema, theatre, visual arts, murals, sculptures and outdoor performances will meet and intertwine to enhance the entire context, contributing to its regeneration.
The International Film Festival of La Union Valle FRENESÍ, seeks to be a platform for the meeting, support and dissemination of new audiovisual creators in search of expanding their knowledge. We celebrate the passion for cinema, giving the opportunity to share with creatives in the same line.
Kinopositive is a long-term project that creates a system for identifying and supporting young talents in the field of cinema and music, united by a common positive ideology. The main difference from other festivals is the involvement of film and music industry leaders in major film projects and collaborations. For example - the creation of a rare film product - a musical.
We are an international film festival that advocates creativity, intellectual and personal growth and entertainment through culture. We intend to be a cultural tool of socialization and union.
We want to reach people, take them out of their day to day. Let them experience what many today call "film therapy".
We present the 2024 edition of the Arcicorto Film Festival.
The Festival was born from the need and the desire to shorten the distance between cinema and spectator, thus favoring low and medium cost self-productions, in order to make the public participate as much as possible.
The third edition of the Sea Film Festival seeks to convene documentary film productions that have the seas and oceans as a common thread, addressing their themes from a scientific, cultural, or artistic point of view.
In a global scenario of social and economic crises, climate change, and loss of biodiversity and habitats, it is becoming increasingly necessary to understand and respect the oceans and seas better and value their existence and importance for the present and future of humanity and the planet.
